A Beautiful Erotic Journey: An Interview with Samantha Hayes
Because I admire Jacky St. James’ writing and directing, talking with performers who’ve shot for her is always on my bucket list. Recently I interviewed Samantha Hayes who appears in the final episode of Jacky’s Emma Marx trilogy, a New Sensations Production.
Before we get into Samantha’s take on working for Jacky, I’m interested to know if the blue-eyed brunette considers herself a gonzo girl.
Not really, she says. Features are more appealing because the sex gets going only after finishing “several hours of dialogue” and shooting stills. With gonzo, it’s right to the sex.
“Some days I might be hornier and prefer to get straight to going at it, so in that sense a feature can be frustrating.” On the other hand, Samantha notes, “The positive of features is you have all this sexual tension and have to carry it with you all day while doing the elaborate back story.”
Incidentally, the plot lines often fit her fantasies, so getting down and dirty is eagerly anticipated. “When it comes time to shoot the sex, it’s a more explosive scene because you had to wait so long to shoot it!”
We’re with you on that, so tell us about Jacky.
“Jacky is such a creative woman with a beautiful vision. She has an incredibly sweet and kind demeanor and is very gentle. She explains what she wants, but is always in tune with her talent’s comfort. As Rebecca [in the Submission of Emma Marx: Exposed], I was essentially a little toy to be used and watched as part of the couple’s adventures, which is a role I love.”
Samantha is referring to her BDSM flavored sex scene with Richie Calhoun who plays William Frederick, Emma’s lover.
Jacky gave the talent options to select their toys and the twenty-year-old was particularly turned on by the “remote controlled butt plug vibrator,” she beams.
How about Eddie, what is it like to work for him?
“I have worked with Eddie before and it was incredible to see Jacky and Eddie together. They are so in tune with each other and have such a creative eye that you know the movie is going to be absolutely perfect. Eddie’s photography is incredible and he knows just how to put a model at ease. His eye for creativity, lighting, and always knowing what one little thing will take an image from a simple shot to an Eddie Powell shot is impressive.”
Eddie’s skill in relaxing his models is unmatched in porn, Samantha notes.
“Eddie will be making me smile and distract me from focusing and looking too posed and end up snapping an incredible shot.”
Yes, the industry praises Jacky and Eddie as a team, Samantha continues, but she has a different take on the couple.
“They are better described as two incredibly creative individuals that are so in tune with themselves and each other that they come together more like a ‘dynamic duo.’ The most incredible couple on the production side of the industry, they are so naturally creative and kind.”
The statuesque hottie praises “their eye for turning porn into a beautiful erotic journey. It’s one thing to know how to shoot beautiful pornography, but it’s another to have talent wake up excited because they get to work with their favorite directors.”
That goes for the company, too. New Sensations is “highly attentive to what their performers like to shoot,” Samantha Hayes exclaims. The energy on their sets is there for the taking.
All in all, she concludes, “New Sensations is one of my top favorite companies to work for. I feel like I have grown a lot over the course of my career and have New Sensations to thank for that.”
