Details:

At each event, Schiller will be discussing ”The Road Through Wonderland”, her harrowing experiences as the girlfriend of John Holmes and her work in preventing teen victimization. Her events will be followed by a Q&A and book signing and are open to the public. Each event is free with the exception of Schiller’s event at Arcada Theater.

Recently featured in Marie Claire, Los Angeles Magazine, and others, ”The Road Through Wonderland” is a surreal and mesmerizing memoir about Schiller’s underage relationship to charismatic and gregarious adult film star John Holmes. A harrowing story of survival, Schiller paints a haunting and vivid portrait of Holmes, exposing his true character apart from the man lauded in movies including ”Wonderland” and ”Boogie Nights.” Though her naïve, teenage eyes, Schiller recalls how she was thrust into Holmes’ unpredictable world-one where he began abusing her and prostituting her for drug money, including to payback infamous drug lord Eddie Nash. Schiller also details the aftermath of Holmes involvement in the famed Wonderland Murders and how she eventually broke free of Holmes, turning him into the FBI.

Schiller is currently a national advocate for preventing teen victimization and started ”Our Throwaway Teens-Who are They and How Can We Help?,” a national platform that seeks to raise awareness to the vulnerabilities to a teen that grows up in an abusive and neglected environment. She routinely speaks on vital issues related to teen victimization and is the founder of E.S.T.E.A.M. (Empowering Successful Teens through Education, Awareness and Mentoring), a nonprofit dedicated to assisting teens who are struggling to find a safe and successful path to adulthood.
