Myles’ Weekend Adventures: Deep Throat Sex Scandal Party – Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. This column will be about a very important party that was attended by some great and very talented people. So please read on and all will become crystal clear.

Deep Throat Sex Scandal Party

Sunday evening, May 26, I drove to Studio City to attend the Deep Throat Sex Scandal party which was a combination party and fundraiser for lack of a better description.

The party had lots of great food and a bar set up with a lady mixing just about any type of drink anybody might want. The bar area was stocked with everything the lady needed to mix the drinks including bottled water, and cans of Coke and Diet Coke for the non-drinkers one of whom was I.

The entertainment included an a cappella quartet known as, “The Alley Cats,” singing songs from the late fifties and early sixties including such numbers as, “Come and go with Me,” made famous by the, “Dell Vikings,” and a video about the making of the play.

(“The Alley Cats,” were very good. What a shame I didn’t think to get some information from them just in case any of the readers might what to hire them for a gig.)

The fund-raising function of the party was to raise money to help pay the cost of making, “The Deep Throat Sex Scandal,” into an independent film.

The cast members of the play in attendance were: Natasha Charles Parker who played Linda Lovelace and also Gilda, Marc Ginsburg who played Harry Reems, Alec Tomwik who played Chuck Traynor, and adult film star, Hollywood actress, producer, and director Veronica Hart who played Shana Babcock and also Mona, Frank Blocker who played district attorney Larry Parrish and also the Make-up Man, Michael Rachlis who played Tim/Bruce Kramer (Unfortunately, I don’t remember if Tim/Bruce Kramer were two characters or the alternative names of one character. If memory serves me correctly, the Tim character was an adult film actor who was known as, “Minuteman.”)

The playwright, David Bertolino, was in attendance of course

Some of the celebrities who guest starred in the play that were in attendance were: Rebecca Bardoux, Christy Canyon, Debi Diamond, Nina Hartley, Hollywood actress Sally Kirkland, and Amber Lynn. (Amber was scheduled to guest star along with the legendary Bill Margold the weekend that the play opened. However, something went wrong, and she wasn’t able to be there. The forever dependable Bill did guest star that weekend.)

I’m not absolutely certain that Christy Canyon and Debi Diamond guest starred in the play. This is because of the fact that I haven’t seen their names on any lists. However, since the play was extended, the two ladies might very well have been added during the extended weeks. Since Christy and Debi attended the party, I am going to assume that was the case.

Ron Jeremy was supposed to attend; however, he got hung up somewhere else and wasn’t able to attend. (At least several bottles of Ron’s Ron de Jeremy Rum were there both regular and spiced.)

My editor-in-chief Steve Nelson was there working the entrance, providing security, and looking spiffy in his black suit.

Also at the entrance were Bonnie and Mia, two lovely young mainstream women who were doing an excellent job of checking for people’s names on the various lists and collecting the entry, “Donations.”

And that will do it for now. Let’s all return here the next time I’ve found something to do and write about. Until then, everybody stay safe, have a great week, and live life as if there were no tomorrow!

Bonsoir et au revoir,

Myles Shaffer
