This year Friday the 13th isn’t just about a hockey-masked killer looking to kill horny teenagers. Something very lucky is happening for us horror fiends this coming weekend. The same team that publishes Mad Monster Magazine and has brought you Mad Monster Party in Charlotte, known for it’s programming which caters to the true horror fan, comes Mad Monster Party Gras!
The new convention is being held in New Orleans in conjunction with controversial and award winning Haunt, House of Shock. The convention spans the entire weekend Sept. 13-15 at the Sheraton Hotel right in the heart of the voodoo capital!
Programming includes:
-Multiple panels and signings for your favorite movies, shows, and stars including: Bruce Campbell, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Sons of Anarchy programing (featuring Ron Perlman, Kim Coates, Tommy Flanagan, Drea De Matteo, and Mark Boone Junior), Repo the Genetic Opera (Bill Moseley, Nivek Ogre, Alexa Vega), and 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams. Peter Criss (founding member of Kiss), Phil Anselmo of Pantera, Sean Yseult of the band White Zombie, P.J. Soles, Gunnar Hansen, Heather Langenkamp, and so Many more!
-A Dark Tribute to Burlesque staring International Showgirl and Playboy model, Gia Nova with guest stars Spooky Le Strange and her Billion Dollar Baby Dolls along with surprise celebrity spotlights.
-Fan of a Thousand Faces Costume Contest and Miss Gnaw’lins Pinup Pageant (Both have a grand prize of $500!)
-Movie screenings all weekend long including Friday the 13th Part 3 in 3D hosted by Larry Zerner and the Devil’s Dozen with Jeremy London.
