Myles Shaffer at the ED ExpoMyles’ Weekend Adventures: 2018 XRCO Awards Show

Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. This column will obviously be about the XRCO Awards. So, the readers should continue on to see who won the various awards for this year.

But first, let me mention the upcoming 2018 Exotic Dancer Gentlemen’s Club Owners Expo which will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, August 19 through August 22. The early registration will be happening on August 19. The tradeshow and seminars will take place on August 20 and 21. And, the bikini contest/pool party will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino’s Rehab Pool the afternoon of August 22. There will also be related night time events and happenings going on every night during the convention.

Now let us move along to see who won what award.

2018 XRCO Awards Show

Thursday night, June 28, involved a trip to Argyle, in Hollywood, to observe the 2018 XRCO Awards Show.

Some of the people in attendance who were already known to this writer were: Rebecca Bardot, James Bartholet, Mick Blue, Tom Byron, Vicki Chase, Adriana Chechik, Christiana Cinn, Charlie Comet, Kiki Daire, Manuel Ferrara, Kinky Gaga, Marica Hasse, Brooke Haven, Erika Icon, Industry photographers Rick Garcia, John, Gordon Mui, and J. R. Reynolds, Isaiah King James IV, A.K.A. Isaiah Maxwell, Eric John, Roy Karch, Miles Long, Eric Masterson, Katie Morgan, Zelda Morrison, Jeff Mullen A.K.A. Will Ryder, AINews.xxx founder, CEO, and editor-in-chief, Steve Nelson, Tee Reel, September Reign, Mark Spiegler, Evan Stone Lucky Star, Natasha Starr, Christie Stevens, Angela White, and Luc Wylder.

The people whom I spoke with that I didn’t already know were: Alex Harper, and Sophia Lux.

For whatever reason, the 2018 XRCO Awards Show was moved from OHM to The Argyle. Now I have heard a couple of stories, but since I cannot confirm what I have heard, I will not speculate as to why the event was moved at the last minute.

I will say that I had a couple of problems with this year’s event. First, The Argyle was entirely too dimly lit.

When I first arrived, I needed to visit the men’s room which was downstairs. (That was also were the red carpet happening was being held.) When I got to the bottom of a lengthy staircase, and had to make a turn to the right, I thought I was on a continuous flat floor. Wrong! I took three or four steps and stepped into thin air. There were another three or four steps all of which I flew over and landed hard on my left side. Yes, I was injured, but it wasn’t any more than some rather serious bruising.

In my opinion, The Argyle really should illuminate the club more brightly especially anywhere they have staircases.

My second problem was the fact that the venue was a little smaller than what the event needed.

Next was the lack of a better sound system. During this year’s award’s show, Evan Stone, Kyle Stone, and one other gentleman were the only people whose voices could be clearly heard above the noise from the people who were there to drink, party, and talk as loudly as possible.

Now I did find a seat close enough to clearly see a TV screen on the wall. (While I only saw the one TV, Steve Nelson told me that he spotted two TV screens near his location.)

Okay, so there were a few TV screens. However, instead of the various categories and the winners of said categories being listed on those TV screens, like it was done at OHM last year, the TV screen closest to me only ran ads for the club the entire evening.

Before we move along, let me say that I really do wish that the party people could keep quiet during the announcements of the awards and do their partying after the show has ended. I for one, and I know that I am not alone, would really like to be able to hear who won what and not have to wait for the XRCO to post the results on their website.

And now, here are the award winners.
