(SIMI VALLEY, CA) — Darcy Tyler jailed, her son taken away. Incarcerated in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, in a custody battle with her X-boyfriend.
A lot of people have been asking me what happened to my roommate. I’ve been reluctant to put it out there for several reasons. First, when four cars filled with US Marshals blocks you in, surrounds you, cuff you for over an hour as they haul off your friend and her two-year-old boy, you are pretty much too close to the situation to be objective.
Secondly, I only have the word of my good ol’ friend Darcy Tyler, which I took at face value when she moved in, and haven’t heard the other side of the story. But that’s what friends do, right? They support their friends and maybe give them the best advice they can think of.
I told Tish, that’s Darcy’s real name, that she should get advice from the woman’s shelter she came to me from, get a restraining order to protect herself and Ethan, and suggested she get a lawyer because you can’t hide forever. When the day came I couldn’t believe there were really warrants out for her arrest!
I observed her being an incredibly attentive mom to her son Ethan, who was a real handful! He was hell on wheels! He called me “Uka Eeeee” (He couldn’t say “Uncle Steve”) and I would watch him while Darcy took a shower, was in the doctor’s office, or when we went shopping. The only time she got a rest was when I was playing with Ethan. He was happy and smart as a whip! He copied everything you said to him as best as he could pronounce.
Crime Watch Daily just put out a story on the whole mess and treated both sides fairly. I don’t have a version of the story because of the two reasons I previously stated. I hope it turns out fair for both sides and first priority, all will agree, should be for the safe and caring environment of the kid I like to think of as my foster nephew, Ethan.
