Myles’ Weekend Adventures: Mardi Gras Party, PSK
Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. This column will be somewhat different. The article won’t be different in that I don’t have quite so much to say as I do on the average. It will be rather different in that it will show the readers that I do occasionally do things other than hanging out in gentlemen’s clubs ogling young women as they remove their clothing. Is anybody now curious? Good! Then please read on, and all will become clear.
Mardi Gras Party
February 12, (Mardi Gras Day, also known as Fat Tuesday) I started my evening off by going to Amalfi Ristorante located at 143 N. LA Brea Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90036.
For this night, the restaurant had a Mardi Gras Party. Stephen Domingue, the owner of the former Ragin’ Cajun Cafe in Hermosa Beach, CA, and his crew took over the kitchen to cook and serve some great, authentic, Cajun food.
Lisa Haley and the Zydekats were also there performing some good Cajun and Zydeco music.
From what I saw, the restaurant did very well during the evening. The place was practically full the entire time I was there.
It wasn’t New Orleans, but it was as close to Naw’lins as I could afford to get at this time.

After leaving the Mardi Gras Party, I continued on the Sardo’s Grill & Lounge, in Burbank, to see who might be in attendance at Porn Star Karaoke Club.
Tessa Lane was doing a great job as the hostess for the evening. (She was also looking very good I might add. [Tessa has a pair of beautiful long legs that go all the way up to her buns!])
The people in attendance that I knew on this evening were: Trinity St. Clair, Tod Hunter, publicist for Ideal Image Models Isiah James IV, Savannah Jane, Constance “Connie” Le, Amber Lynn, Syren De Mer, industry photographer Gordon Mui, Nadia Night, co-owner of Ideal Image models, adult film actor, and adult film director Tee Reel, Selma Sins, whom I met at the AVN AEE in January of this year, real life sisters Natalia and Natasha Starr, Katie Summers, and Adam Wood.
There were two hot young blondes in attendance whom I’m fairly certain were industry starlets. However, I don’t have a clue as to what their names were, and I never got a chance to find out.
As I was going up front to say goodnight to Tessa Lane, a cute young woman that I don’t think is in the industry said hello to me, grabbed me, kissed me full on the lips, then started speaking with me as if nothing out of the normal had just happened. I then asked her whether or not we had ever met before. She said that she didn’t think so. I then said something along the lines of thank you; it has been many years since a woman that was a stranger to me has kissed me for no apparent reason!
Since I haven’t seen her in a long time, I would like to have gone to the House of Blues Friday night, February 15, to see Dita Von Tease perform her burlesque show. However, when I looked at the House of Blues’ website and saw that tickets to the show were from thirty-five dollars to five hundred dollars, I decided I couldn’t afford it. Besides, Thirty-five dollars only purchased the right to enter the club and stand up during the entire time the ticket-holder was there. Also, I had no idea of what the parking situation may have been like, and I did not believe that the House of Blues would have been willing to comp an Internet writer they had never heard of.
Hopefully, I’ll get another opportunity to see Dita and to say hello to her before too many more years have flown by.
