(CHATSWORTH, CA) — Girlfriends Films is donating $1000 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) on behalf of popular adult performer Samantha Ryan. Samantha is also the co-host of the lesbian studio’s acclaimed talk show, “The Kinky & Creepy Show.” The December charity selection goes to honor Samantha’s father, who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy.

“I would love to give to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in light of my father being diagnosed with the disease,” states Samantha Ryan. “It has given me so much more insight into a disease so widely varied, yet with no end in sight. To see so many young children disabled with this disease is heart breaking. I am so blessed my father has been able to live such a full life with the disease, yet I know so many are not as fortunate and die way too young. I hope this money will play a small part in the bigger picture of finding cures or better ways for the afflicted to deal with muscular dystrophy.”

MDA is a nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related diseases by funding worldwide research. It also provides those affected by muscular dystrophy with comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.

Girlfriends Films calls on its strong community of fans and followers to join Samantha Ryan in the fight against muscular dystrophy. Donations of all sizes may be made directly to MDA at secure.mdausa.org/donate/.

Samantha Ryan is the co-host of “The Kinky & Creepy Show,” available exclusively on Girlfriends Films’ membership site, www.GFFMembers.com. She also appears in top Girlfriends Films movies like “Women Seeking Women 64,” “Women Seeking Women 67,” “Twisted Passions 6,” “Net Skirts 4.0,” “Twins,” “Road Queen 15,” and “Lesbian Sex 3.”

Girlfriends Films has a long history of charitable contributions, having donated over $20,000 in 2010 alone. The company recently restructured its charity program from an annual end-of-year donation to an ongoing, monthly program. 2011 donation include Melissa Monet’s choice of Planned Parenthood, Lily Cade’s selection of Lambda Legal, Ryan Keely’s pick of NPR, Trinity St. Clair’s selection of Life 4 Paws, Jiz Lee’s donation to a California girls organization, Dyanna Lauren’s donation to Child Find of America, Cindy’s selection of Cancer Research Institute, and Jelena Jensen’s selection of Best Friends Animal Society.

Any Girlfriends Films performers interested in participating may apply by emailing the following information to PR@GirlfriendsFilms.com: name, AIP charity of choice, reason(s) for selecting the charity. Chosen performers will be asked to submit a personal photo depicting the performer engaged with the charity, the charity’s mission, or a similar charitable act.
