Jack Lawrence to represent the Adult Film Industry and AIM at the 2009 AIDS/LifeCycle 8 Ride

(WOODLAND HILLS, CA) — A veteran of over 675+ movies, Jack Lawrence will be representing the Adult Film Industry and AIM Healthcare Foundation on the AIDS/LifeCycle ride from May 31st – June 6th, 2009. Jack Lawrence will be riding his bicycle 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles along with over 3,000+ other cyclists to raise funds and awareness for critical programs to end HIV and AIDS. Every one of the 3,000+ riders will have raised at least $3,000 for HIV and AIDS related charities.

”With 15 seasons of competitive cycling, and over 391,000 miles under my belt, I figured it was time to use whatever media I can pull in from my past cycling career as well as the adult film industry and get some coverage of this largely ‘forgotten’ topic. Just because HIV and AIDS isn’t mentioned in the news anymore, it doesn’t mean it went away!

”I would also like to show that our industry is cognizant about the disease, care about those from our industry who were affected in the past and care about promoting education, prevention, testing, treatment and ultimately finding a cure.”

AIM Healthcare Foundation has named Jack Lawrence as their press and public relations liaison for this event. ”We are happy to have Jack Lawrence represent us on this ride amongst the other cyclists and with the media. He’s a former volunteer here at AIM and we look forward to his ability to show how the testing works to the media as well as with individual contact with the other cyclists.” AIM is also taking donations at both of their clinics in his name to support this cause.
