AVN award winning model and Digital Playground contract star Stoya’s mother wasn’t too happy about her daughter’s career choice at first. She is an ardent, old school feminist and protest rally veteran, and what Stoya decided to do went against her grain. However, once she calmed down and realized that Stoya was very happy in her job and learned a bit about Digital Playground, she willingly accepted it.
An unremitting manner seems typical for Stoya, an intense, very smart woman (she graduated high school three years early) who knows what she wants. It is also working out for her very well, it seems. Her meteoric rise in the Industry within the last 2 years attests to that. Stoya has also been featured in articles in mainstream publications in her native East Coast.
When not working, Stoya’s interests are in keeping with her quiet intensity. A prolific reader, she often consumes up to three books at a time and is highly articulate. She also enjoys making her own latex clothing, which is an unforgiving pastime – one wrong placement and the entire garment is ruined. She learned the craft from a new roommate after changing apartments – the prior residence was a party house. ”I go-go danced for so long, I don’t want to see drunk people in my house, I don’t want to see anything but alcohol in my house. It’s where I go to be safe.”
Stoya is a powerfully unique presence in our Industry, and all signs indicate she’ll continue to be so for a long time to come.
