Master Liam Loughran

The Life and Times of Master Liam Loughran

Master Liam Loughran will be one of the attendees at this weekend’s San Francisco Fetish Ball. This Master of BDSM arts (including hook suspension) has chosen to ”hang out…instead of hanging out.” Liam, San Francisco is proud and honored to welcome you.

Master Liam knew from very early on that he had an interest in bondage. He cites seeing Boris Karloff’s the Mummy when he was 8 as his earliest inclination as to his nature…he was fascinated even then by the concept of ”encasement” and followed suit by wrapping up his 7 year old sister.

When he was 13 a girl asked him to tie her up, and he was more than happy to oblige – he took her up to his tree fort, removed her clothes and bound her hands above her head. When she asked him to free her, replied ”no” and climbed back to the ground, passing a group of friends (including the girls’ older brother) on their way up.

When he was 21, Liam began to regularly attend Club Fuck in Silverlake, CA (it has since moved to Hollywood) and performed his first hook suspension there. A regular at Club Sinematic around 1996, Master Liam began to Dom professionally in 1999 when Club Dungeon opened and asked him to be a regular performer.

Prior to becoming a full time professional Dominant/performance artist, Liam actually taught Computer Science (think about that next time you see a computer geek!) and earned several business degrees.

Like many California residents, Loughran came west for a vacation and never returned. Currently Liam resides in the greater LA area with his wife, slaves and 1 year old child. When asked how he integrates family life – particularly fatherhood – with being a BDSM ”lifer”, Liam responds that ”it’s a juggle, but it’s not my first rodeo”, explaining that his now one year old son is the youngest of no fewer than nine children. According to Master Liam his offspring don’t know about his prominent role in the BDSM community, but the oldest learned a bit recently after asking Dad if he knew any helpful hints for tying up his girlfriend.

He has appeared on many websites (his work can be found on FetishhouseVideos.com, MasterLiam.com, FetishhouseStudios.net, Fleshhook.net, as well as Fuckedandbound.com and several DungeonCorp sites.)

Loughran has great advice for anyone interested in pursuing performance Dom work, whether it be on camera or live club work. The field is ”so competitive now, hone your craft and…know what you’re doing for fifteen to twenty minutes.” He advises Doms to find a style and keep their performance quick. Liam does voice concerns about the field growing ”too flashy” and suffering from some degree of one-upsmanship.

If anything, BDSM performance is on the rise, with increasing acceptance among consumers of adult entertainment eager to see something different. He envisions an ultimate arrival of ”Fet-porn” as a legitimate genre and cites the popularity of the Las Vegas Show Fashionistas as an example. Were he to wish for any changes, Liam mentions that he wishes LA would support its BDSM performers better, so that they did not have to travel to find work.

The worst hotel Liam has stayed in was ”one of those hotels off 42nd Street in New York and I was just passing through and picked up a girl at a bar and took her back to the hotel. They gave you the sheets when you paid for the room (cost me $12.00) so you can imagine what the room looked like…and literally my window faced a brick wall that I could reach out and touch. But she was a good fuck whatever her name was.”

The strangest food Liam has eaten was in a cave restaurant in France. The meal sounded very nice on the menu, and ended up being sauteed bone marrow from the spine of a bull.
