Myles’ Weekend Adventures: Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. I had quite a bit on my plate the weekend of Thursday, September 20Th through Sunday the 23rd. Unfortunately, some things simply didn’t work out as planned. So, let’s begin the discussion of beautiful women to find out what transpired that weekend.
Shy Love
Thursday, September 20Th, I went to the downtown Los Angeles Spearmint Rhino to spend the evening with my friend, feature dancer, adult film star, producer, director, and talent agent, Shy Love and to observe both of her shows.
For her first show of the evening, Shy wore a pink corselet with a neck strap. The corselet was decorated with five, half inch wide, black, somewhat vertical, more or less evenly spaced lines from her left to her right side. The corselet was open a few inches wide along her spine and held together with black lacing. She also wore a black thong and a pair of mid-thigh length, black, platform-soled, high-heeled boots that laced up the outside of her leg.
During her final show, Shy wore a black halter top and a mini-skirt like thing that was more like a very wide belt with a large ribbon-like bow in the front and having long, string-like, fringe all the way around the bottom edge. The bottoms Shy wore for this show can only be described as a cross between a thong and a pair of very skimpy shorts. Said bottoms were decorated with silver colored eyelet rings placed here and there. For footwear, Shy wore the same boots as she did during the first show. Hey, they looked good on her, they worked, so why not?
Shy performed both of her shows to rock music.
Shy commits very good interaction with the denizens of the tip rail. Just to give people an idea of exactly how good her interaction is, on this night, Shy gave away two 8X10’s and one DVD per show. Though this time, she didn’t bother to hand the give-aways to the customers, or to even toss the goodies out to them. As she randomly selected people to give things to, she pulled the lucky recipients onto the stage one at a time and played well with them for a few moments. Toward the end of her final show, Shy gave the DVD to a house dancer called Brazil. In doing so, Shy pulled Brazil onto the stage for a couple of minutes of sensuous and extremely sexy girl/girl action! Yes, it did look very hot!
Shy Love is a very sexy lady. She is intelligent, friendly, well spoken, and she enjoys meeting and chatting with her fans. She also performs very well on stage, and I would highly recommend that nobody ever miss an opportunity to get out to a club to see Shy perform and to meet her in person. I don’t believe anybody would ever be disappointed that they went to catch a couple of Shy’s shows.

Cara Dee, one of Shy’s newer clients, was with her this evening. Shy is training Cara to be a feature dancer when she has accumulated enough credits and the time is right. I can hardly wait for an opportunity to see Cara dance and to write a review of her.
Lucky me! Between shows on this evening, Shy took me back to her dressing room between shows to hang out with her, her roadie, Dave, and Cara. It certainly beat sitting in the club going deaf from the loud music and playing the, “No thank you sweetheart,” game with all the, “Wanna buy a dance,” girls.
Julia Ann
Friday evening, September 21st, I drove up to the North Hollywood Blue Zebra Cabaret to spend a little time with Julia Ann and to catch one of her shows.
I had intended to catch Julia Ann’s first show, then beat a path to another club. However, about the time I should have been getting ready, I started nodding off in front of the television. When I snapped to, I decided that I just didn’t feel like going anywhere. A few minutes later, and after I had become a bit more alert, I thought to myself, “But it is Julia Ann. You can’t miss a chance to go say hello.” So, I ran upstairs, shaved, freshened up, changed clothes, and hit the road. When I arrived at the club, I had just missed Julia Ann’s first show, of course. So what else is new?
For the one show I did see, Julia Ann wore a gold and rhinestone choker. Her costume consisted of a jacket, a bra, a pair of pants, a thong and a pair of gold, sandal-like, stiletto-heeled shoes. The jacket, bra, pants and thong were all gold lame. The bra and thong were somehow embedded with glitter that did a great job of reflecting the stage lighting. The pants had gold lacing in the front, and each leg had a zipper that ran up the outside from her ankle all the way to her waist to enable easy removal.
Julia Ann ended this show with a hot candle wax segment, and she performed to rock music.
Julia Ann is a very good feature dancer who actually does some dancing, and her interaction with randomly selected customers is very good. Also, she is a beautiful, intelligent, well spoken, very friendly lady who likes meeting and chatting with her fans. She also has a great sense of humor. I do not want anybody to ever pass up an opportunity to go to a club to see Julia Ann perform and to meet her in person. This Wicked Pictures contract star and director is a must see!

I ran into my friend, Nakita Kash, when I first arrived at the club. Nakita had a friend with her. I am proud to say that I have finally been lucky enough to meet Teagan Presley! Based on the one or two minutes I was able to speak with Teagan, I would have to say that she is a sweetheart!
Now for the good news. It may not be too long before Teagan begins feature dancing. Nakita told me that she has been giving Teagan lessons. I can hardly wait to see her perform in a club.
Saturday, September 22ND, I had a problem. Because I screwed around and was unable to hit two clubs on Friday evening, I had to make a choice between driving to Santa Barbara and hanging out with Teri Weigel and Murrill at the Spearmint Rhino, or going to see Sydnee Steele at the City of Industry Spearmint Rhino just five miles from my house.
I finally decided that, since I had just spent time with Teri and Murrill the weekend before, I would save thirty dollars worth of gasoline and not go to Santa Barbara. I think the main reason I didn’t go was the fact that I would have been too tired and sleepy to safely make the long drive home in the middle of the night. It would simply have been too dangerous to make that late night drive in the shape I was in.
When it came time to jump into my car to go see Sydnee, I just didn’t feel up to even walking out to the car. Therefore, I beg the forgiveness of Teri, Murrill and Sydnee. I know that they will all understand and that I will see them the next chance I get.
The Waste Known as Adultcon
Sunday, September 23rd, I decided at the last possible minute to go to Adultcon for the first time in two years. I am still trying to decide whether or not it was a mistake to do so.
First of all, by the time I made up my feeble mind, got ready, and drove to the Los Angeles Convention Center, I only had what I thought was going to be three hours to take in the show. Wrong! Even though the Adultcon website indicated that the show would end at 7 Pm, everybody started packing up and security began running the fans out at 6 Pm. (it turned out that two hours was plenty of time. That is how small the event turned out to be this time around.)
While I did see people I knew, and was fortunate enough to meet several lovely and very nice newcomers to the industry, the show was generally a big let down. The biggest names that bothered to take part in the show were Tera Patrick, Sunny Lane, Syren Spell and Lynn LeMay.
Conspicuous in their absence were any of the large production companies or any of their contract stars. Also missing were people such as Exotica, Nina Mercedez, Stephanie Swift, Sunset Thomas, and Dennis Hof’s Moonlite Bunny Ranch with some of his favorite ladies. I mention these particular people because of the fact that, to the best of my recollection, some if not all of them have been participants in this, “event,” in the past.
This, “event,” has never been nearly so good as the AVN AEE, or Erotica-LA, and it never will be. In my opinion, this, “event,” has gotten worse instead of better, and it is my personal opinion that it is on a rapid down hill slide and will not survive much longer. Not unless somebody quickly learns how to properly promote and run this, “event.”
In the interest of saving space, and because Goldie Dewitt has already said it all far better than I can, and because Goldie can speak from first hand experience as a past vendor, this is all I’m going to say about this recent fiasco known as Adultcon.
I do recommend that anybody who is reading this should go to Ainews.com/story/12413/ and read the reprint, with editor’s notes, of Goldie’s article entitled, “Adultcon a Waste of Money.”
Before closing, I can say that I was told Amber Peach and Lynn LeMay have both stated that they will never again have anything to do with Adultcon! I may not either. After all, while I would be going for the sole purpose of saying hello to industry people I know and meeting some newcomers, if the vast majority of industry people I know aren’t going to be there, it would be a waste of my time and money. (Thank goodness for the existence of Erotica-LA and the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo!)
