Myles’ Weekend Adventures – Bonjour mon amis! Myles Shaffer here. I recently had to admit that I had forgotten the Santa Barbara Spearmint Rhino general manager’s name. Well, I have since learned that his name is Craig. (Sorry about that Craig.) I also forgot to mention having met a house dancer named Rose.

When I was there again on Friday evening, August 5th, Rose and I chatted a few times. What a sweetheart she is. I would definitely recommend making an effort to meet this lovely, young, lady and possibly purchasing a dance from her! While I was there, I met another very lovely and nice waitress named Nicole. If any of my readers were to find their way to this club, be certain to say hello to Nicole and give her a good tip. She deserves it. I also saw a dancer there whom I met the evening of October 18, 2003, and haven’t seen since, yet the second she saw me, she remembered me. What a memory for faces! This lady’s name is Scarlette, and she is definitely my kind of women. She is friendly, nice looking, has a good body and a great sense of humor. Come to think of it, I ended up buying a dance with Scarlette the first time we met; therefore, I can absolutely recommend buying a dance with her! Last but not least, I also chatted extensively with Chance, whom I mentioned the last time I wrote about this club. She is such a sweet, friendly, and humorous woman. If any of my readers find themselves visiting this club, be certain to find and spent a bit of time with Chance, and most definitely buy some dances with her. One other thing, even though her name was on the D.J.’s board, I never saw Tara on this evening. If I happened to look directly at her one or more times during the evening and simply didn’t recognize her, I sincerely do apologize to the lady. I would never knowingly slight Tara. Hey, I already think of her as a friend!

Well, I do believe that is enough rambling for the moment, so let us get to the pleasant task of discussing beautiful women without further ado. Duh! Come to think of it, that’s exactly what we’ve been doing, isn’t it. Ah well, chalk it up to senility, and let us move right along.

Nikki Benz

Friday afternoon, August 5th, I went to the Van Nuys Spearmint Rhino to catch Nikki Benz’s matinee show.

Because I have already written about Nikki Benz twice since last March 2nd, I’ll just say that she is a lovely woman who performs well. She is friendly and enjoys meeting her fans. I highly recommend a trip to a local club to see and meet Nikki.

See Nikki, I told you I wouldn’t forget this time. (While speaking with Nikki on this Friday afternoon, she mentioned the fact that the last two times I’ve reviewed her, I’ve stated that I couldn’t find a website for her. We then had a humorous conversation about my senility, and I promised her I wouldn’t make the same stupid mistake this time.)

Teri Weigel

After leaving the Van Nuys Spearmint Rhino, I drove to Oxnard, where I made a little piggy of myself at the Hometown Buffet. Once I couldn’t stuff down another bite, I continued on to the Santa Barbara Spearmint Rhino to catch one of my dear friend Teri Weigel’s shows.

Because I have written about Teri five times since last November, 22, 2004, most recently in my last column, I’ll simply say that Teri is a very sexy, friendly and loving woman. When it comes to performing, Teri is one of the best. I don’t believe I’ve ever enjoyed any feature’s shows more than I enjoy seeing one of Teri’s performances. When Teri performs, everybody has fun mainly because nobody is having any more fun than Teri herself. The lady loves what she does! She also immensely enjoys meeting her fans. Teri Weigel is an absolute must see! Do not pass up an opportunity to go to a club to see and meet this wonderful lady. And, be extremely nice to Teri. She is one of my very best friends!

I had originally planned to stop in at the Oxnard Spearmint Rhino on the way home to catch at least one of Kaylynn’s shows and say hello. Unfortunately, I had another, “Best laid plans of mice and men,” experience and didn’t get back to Oxnard in time to do so. Oh well, she will be dancing at the downtown Los Angeles Spearmint Rhino August 11th, 12th, and 13th, and I plan to spent some time with her then.

Saturday Afternoon, August 6th

I went to the City of Industry Spearmint Rhino to see Belladonna and ran into a problem. I have been told by two or three Rhino employees and at least two managers in the past that a corporate memo was sent out to all of the Rhino Corporation’s California clubs October last year stating that the 2005 1down.com VIP card was to be honored with free admission twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, no matter what, just as soon as the card became available. That is the way it has been ever since.

Last Friday, my card was honored, as usual, at both the Van Nuys Rhino and the Santa Barbara Rhino with no problems. Saturday afternoon, I walked into the City of Industry Rhino and was told that my card would not be honored, because they had a feature. I was told by three different people that Dan, the general manager of this club, had put the word out. Of course, Dan was nowhere to be found at the time. One employee who knows me suggested that I pay the fifteen dollar daytime cover, then return during the evening and take the issue up with Dan. I declined to do so as a matter of principle.

Sunday afternoon, I got a call from a fellow I know. He told me that he went to the City of Industry Rhino on Friday night, and his card was honored with no problems. Then, when he returned to the club Saturday afternoon, he got the same song and dance that I received.

I don’t know if there has been a sudden middle of the stream change in corporate policy, or if Dan has arbitrarily taken it upon himself to override the corporation, but I intend to find out. I dropped by the 1down Lounge & Grill last night, Monday, August 8th, to speak with Goldie about the situation. Unfortunately, Goldie wasn’t there. I wanted to let him know what was going on.

If there has been an overall policy change, this column will dwindle from weekly to every once in a rare while, because given the fact that my current financial situation is less than desirable, and the fact that nothing I’m doing is paying me anything, I simply can not afford to shell out anywhere from forty to one hundred or more dollars a week in cover charges!

I will keep the world posted.

Bonsoir et au revoir,

Myles Shaffer
