KSEX Wankus’ Apology to Jim Holliday: “I’m embarrassed and disgusted that I was forced to be part of such immature behavior…” [And Steve Nelson got a picture of it – linked in the box to the right.]

I would like to first say that it was my true honor to be invited to Jim Holliday’s service by Bill Margold and scattered other adult industry personalities. While I never officially met Jim, I really wanted to attend his memorial service as a way of meeting him through the experiences of others. With touching stories from Bill [Margold], Ron Jeremy, Shayla LaVeaux, Sharon Mitchell, Gene Ross, Kylie Ireland, Katie Morgan, D’Cypher, Jill Kelly, Henri Pachard and so many of his “Angels” and industry peers, I am very happy that I made the decision to attend the celebration of life, for someone that meant so much to the direction our industry has taken.

I was a bit disappointed in the turn-out and felt that others like me who didn’t have the privilege of knowing Jim should have attended as well. It is my belief that we can learn a lot from our upper classman and if anything, we owe them the respect and appreciation for the struggles, accomplishments and hard work they provided over many years–dedication that paved the way for our travels through this complicated career path.

With that said, I would like to take this time to apologize for the unexpected outburst and near physical confrontation I was surprised with from male performer, Kurt Lockwood. At the time of the incident, I was chatting with friends, only to see him charge towards me, mutter angry allegations and challenge me to a fight as the service was coming to a close. I’m embarrassed and disgusted that I was forced to be part of such immature behavior on such a sacred day and am truly shocked that these were the actions of someone that has been rewarded by this industry as one of the top new talents of porn.

In an effort to douse the flames and save the respect of the memorial service, I told Kurt that I would not play into his inappropriate behavior and did not accept his desire to throw blows. Further, in an effort to act in a mature, adult manner, I telephoned Kurt on the way home from the service to try to determine where these hostilities were coming from and to see if we could make it go away civilly. After listening to him brag about how many different ways he planned on killing me with his gun, I decided to terminate the conversation.

While I can’t explain Mr. Lockwood’s behavior, I would like to very clearly express my sincere apology to Jim Holliday, his friends, porn family and those who came out to honor him. I meant you no disrespect and I am very sorry for your loss. For our loss.

Sincerely,

Wankus
