Tony Alizzi died of an apparent heart attack Sunday night or Monday morning. Funeral arrangements and so forth are pending, but he will likely be buried in New Jersey where he grew up."
Tony Alizzi founded Male Sexual Research (MSR) in 1999. Originally intended to produce only specialty leather videos, Alizzi eventually expanded MSR and developed it into a small boutique studio.
He grew up in New Jersey and worked for a number of years as a set designer for film and television before founding MSR. In 2002, MSR produced "White Trash," which eventually became one of the studio’s highest-selling and most critically acclaimed titles; in May 2003 "White Trash" won nine GayVN Awards, more than any other video. Other Alizzi-directed titles include "Manhattan Sex Party" (2001), "Sex Pigs" (2003) and "Rough Trade" (2004), among several others.
