(LAS VEGAS, NV) — At the AVN Awards ceremony from the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas Saturday night, adult superstar Houston was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in recognition of her achievements, impact and success in the business.
AVN, Adult Video News, is considered the definitive authority of the adult industry and also holds the annual Adult Entertainment Expo and awards show. The prestigious AVN awards are given each year to the top performers and video titles in categories ranging from “Best Actress” to “Best Oral Scene”. The highly coveted honors are considered the “Oscars” of the adult world.
Paul Fishbein, AVN Publisher, comments: “The AVN Hall of Fame recognizes performers who have made a difference in the industry and achieved a level of success that sets them apart from the pack. Houston exemplifies this spirit and we were proud to make her one of our inductees this year.”
Houston comments: “I am truly honored by the award and thank everyone at AVN for their support, now and throughout my career. I also thank my fans for supporting me, and all the retailers as well. 2004 is a big year for me, with the launch of my own video company and record label, and this is quite a start.”
Houston is hard at work on the upcoming launch of her own video company and adult line, Hot Houston Productions. Several titles have been completed and production has begun on her first features, “Houston’s Angels” a take-off on “Charlie’s Angels” with Houston in the title character and “The Prom Date” a hardcore recreation of her infamous Howard Stern Show stunt.
Houston has also embarked on a music career with the upcoming release of her two song maxi-single “What Do you Want From Me? / Open Your Mind” at music retailers across the Us in February. Houston debuted her two new singles live at the world famous House of Blues on the Sunset Strip at a headlining appearance in December.
