Women In Adult expanded its industry coverage this month by appointing porn star and producer Brittany Andrews to its board of directors as Talent Liaison. The appointment falls in line with the organizations goals of ensuring that all aspects of the adult Internet business are covered.

Andrews, an adult film star and owner of Britco Pictures in Los Angeles, had heard about the formation of Women in Adult and was eager to participate.

“It has been a long, hard struggle after eleven years to be able to finally have a voice,” said Andrews. “I hope that a group like WIA will someday make it a little bit easier for up-and-comers to survive in this industry. I want to help as much as possible.”

“The addition of Brittany to our Board of Directors in an indicator that this organization is growing and the vision is being realized on step at a time. I believe Brittany’s contribution will be extremely valuable and we are very happy to have her aboard,” says Lori Zaitz, President of WIA.

Women in Adult aims to provide a central place for the support and empowerment of the women who work in the adult Internet industry. The addition of Andrews will increase the organization’s reach in meeting the needs of women in all aspects of the business.

“It is important because, after all, the name of our organization is ‘Women in Adult,'” said WIA’s Vice President, Amparo Alcarez “That means all of the women that make up our industry.”

WIA founder Holly Moss agreed, saying the appointment rounds out the variety of businesses and positions that make up the organization’s board of directors.

“In many ways adding Brittany to the board is like finding the missing link, the missing part of the puzzle,” said Holly Moss, WIA founder. “Having her join us will provide a gateway to the talent side of the industry that we were lacking before. I’m so happy she has decided to join us.”
