(LOS ANGELES, CA) — Wicked Pictures has emerged as the leader of the pack in nominations for the Empire 2002 Awards, sponsored by Adult DVD Empire, the Internet’s premier Adult DVD retailer. And leading the way for the company is Brad Armstrong’s two-disc set Euphoria with seven major noms, the most for any single release.
Wicked Pictures received a total of 15 nominations, including Best DVD Quality nods for both Euphoria and Women in Uniform. Euphoria also garnered nominations in the Best Feature, Best Extras, Best Overall DVD, Best DVD Menu Design, Best Audio Quality, and Best DVD Commentary categories. Women in Uniform received three other noms, for Best DVD Audio Quality, Best All-sex DVD, and Best DVD Menu Design.
Other Wicked titles to receive recognition include Jonathan Morgan’s New Girls in Town 2, which was nominated for Best Gonzo DVD. And the Best Foreign DVD category saw Wicked represented by two titles – Black Lace & White Lies and Orgy in Black. And as a company, Wicked Pictures also received recognition in the Best DVD Studio category.
“I always look forward to the Empire Awards,” said Wicked Pictures’ Director of DVD Production David Crawford in response to the latest round of nominations. “I think the Empire Awards are important because Adult DVD Empire prides itself on being the most informative source for adult DVDs on the Net. Plus with the Viewers’ Choice Award, the public gets to decide their favorite title, which I think is important.”
