(FULTON COUNTY, GA) — A former police lieutenant in Fulton County, GA has pleaded guilty to one count of extortion when eleven other counts were dropped after he used his position in the police department to assist strippers at a popular adult club in Atlanta, "Flashers".

Mark Lance, a 13 year member of the police force has resigned and will be sentenced in December. It was discovered that Lance accepted regular payments from "Flashers" owner Harry Freese along with free food, drinks and sex to help club dancers obtain work permits. These club employees would not have been able to obtain work permits legally since they had criminal records or were on probation.

Neither club owner Freese or general manager Howard Thrower have been charged since they have been cooperating with the authorities. ‘Flashers", which is the former "Stormin’ Normans", located on Roswell Road in Atlanta had the reputation of one of the cleanest clubs and had almost no prior violations.
