(LAS VEGAS, NV) — Jenna Jameson, the sultry blonde star who is the best known actress in the adult entertainment industry, was honored as Adult Star of the Year last night at the Video Software Dealers Association’s (VSDA) annual convention in Las Vegas. She was given the tribute as part of the VSDA Awards Celebration at the Samba Theater prior to a show by Penn & Teller.

The ceremony at which Jameson was honored wrapped up Home Entertainment 2002 Presented by VSDA, the largest and most comprehensive home entertainment event in the industry.

“This is a fabulous honor from one of the most important trade groups in the industry and it’s just one more example of how adult entertainment is being accepted by the mainstream,” said Ms. Jameson.

The award was just the latest in a long list of tributes to Ms. Jameson, who has been recognized by Adult Video News as the leading female adult star of all time. According to Rolling Stone magazine she is “The woman who put the star in porn star.” She is also President and CEO of ClubJenna, Inc., an Internet management and licensing firm and has her own movie production studio. Her ClubJenna.com Website is among the most often visited sites on the Web. Ms. Jameson has hosted “Wild On E!” and is a frequent guest on national television and radio shows. She has graced over 300 magazine covers and appeared in nearly 1,000 magazines, including Playboy, Penthouse, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Allure, Jane and FHM, which consistently ranks her as one of the 100 Most Beautiful Women in the World. Ms. Jameson has won virtually every honor the adult industry bestows, including AVN Awards for Best New Starlet and Best Actress. Vivid Entertainment Group has selected her as a Vivid Girl and her production company has an output deal with Vivid. She was featured in the Howard Stern movie “Private Parts” and has a featured role in “Samhain,” the horror film scheduled for release in October 2002.
