(TORONTO) — Naked News Will Introduce First Nude Male Anchor at Press Conference on Thursday, April 12 at Hilton Toronto.
WHAT: Naked News will introduce Lucas Tyler as the site’s first nude male anchor at a press conference that will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2001 at 1:00 PM at the Hilton Toronto. Co-anchors Diane Foster, Carmen Russo and Holly Weston will formally welcome Tyler as the latest member of the Naked News team. Tyler’s first appearance on www.NakedNews.com will be broadcast Thursday, April 12, 2001. All four will be available to answer media questions.
Naked News will debut a second link on the site, in addition to the current version of the program. This link will include a news segment by Tyler, who will deliver the news completely naked. Also debuting on this link will be "Nude Views" which will feature Tyler and Diane Foster in a "he said, she said" battle of wits over contemporary news topics. Later this month, Naked News will announce a second male webcaster.
WHO: Lucas Tyler, age 33, was one of over 200 men who responded to an ad placed in Toronto newspapers calling to hire men and women for broadcasting positions at Naked News. He auditioned February 21, read a news script from a teleprompter clad in Body Body shorts, and was called back March 27 for a second audition, only this time naked. On April 2, Tyler accepted Naked News’ offer to become their first male news anchor.
Tyler is from Montreal, Canada. Last December, he left his job as an investment advisor with one of Canada’s national, major banks to pursue an old dream of exploring his creative side. After a holiday that took him to Spain and Los Angeles, he began looking for an "interesting" job when he spotted the Naked News ad in the Toronto Star. The rest is history as Lucas Tyler joins Naked News as the first man to deliver the news completely nude…no desk, no props, just naked.
Lending their support and also participating in this press conference will be Naked News anchors Diane Foster (weather), Carmen Russo (business and news) and Holly Weston (sports and entertainment).
