(SAN ANTONIO, TX) — A San Antonio TV anchorman has been arrested and accused of buying photos of nude children.
Gerry Grant, the 41-year-old weekend anchorman at ABC affiliate KSAT, was released from jail Tuesday on $100,000 bail. He was arrested Monday night at a motel and charged with possession of child pornography.
Investigators said they watched Grant buy four sexually explicit photos of children between the ages of 6 and 12.
Grant has appeared on three of San Antonio’s four English-language news stations. He covered the O.J. Simpson murder trial for the syndicated TV program “Entertainment Tonight.”
The anchorman has an unlisted telephone number.
KSAT said Grant is on a leave of absence.
