(RUNAWAY BAY, Jamaica) — No need to rent a tux or buy that expensive gown, but you’ll certainly want to stock up on the sun-block if you’d like to participate in SuperClubs Super-Inclusive Resorts’ wackiest wedding ceremony yet — all-nude nuptials.
Planned for Valentine’s Day 2001, SuperClubs’ Hedonism III in Runaway Bay, Jamaica, will be the site of this “nudes-worthy” affair, and all couples wishing to exchange vows for the first time — or those who’d like to renew their vows — are invited to participate.
The ceremony and everything it entails (minister, marriage license, flowers, cake, music, etc.) will be provided free of charge by the resort. Couples participating in the “World’s Largest Nude Wedding” will qualify for the low rate of $470 per couple, per night, land only. A four-night minimum stay is required, and all brides in the buff and their bare better halves must arrive at the resort no later than February 12.
“As ‘Cupid of the Caribbean’ we want to make our couples’ wedding day the happiest day of their lives,” said Zein Nakash, SuperClubs’ vice president of marketing and environmental affairs. “We try to offer as many different options to choose from to make that day especially happy and fun, whether that means holding traditional or non-traditional ceremonies. We can accommodate requests from the simple to the lavish to the really wacky. This time, we’re ‘baring’ it all — literally!”
Each year, SuperClubs is responsible for bringing together thousands of couples in holy matrimony as part of its Free Weddings program, which is included in every three-night or more vacation package. Numerous couples have exchanged vows at SuperClubs’ eight resorts in Jamaica and The Bahamas, in ceremonies as varied as trapeze weddings, atop a sand castle wedding cake, on the beach in bikini and briefs, or in a traditional wedding gazebo, aboard luxury yacht M/Y Zein, or in the gardens, surrounded by fragrant tropical flowers.
