(CHATSWORTH, CA) — Adult industry leaders will gather in New Orleans September 22nd-24th for the IA2000 conference to try to refine current and develop new methods to battle child pornographers — a group organizers call “some of the most reviled persons on the planet.”

About 4,000 people are expected to attend IA2000, the world’s largest adult Internet/Audiotext trade show. Among attendees will be executives from mainstream technology firms, Web hosts and service providers, credit card processors and other firms eager to form relationships with adult sites generating tens of millions of visits daily.

The panel of experts for “The Fight Against Child Pornography” seminar (10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 22nd) includes attorney Parry Aftab of Cyberangels and Andrew Edmond, the head of the chief adult Website traffic monitoring firm, SexTracker.

“Child pornographers and its consumers are, as a group, some of the most reviled persons on the planet,” says IA2000 Show Manager Renee Johnson. “Sadly, for all its wonders, modern technology and the Internet in particular make it far easier for them to ply their loathsome trade. Responsible people in the legitimate adult industry want to eradicate child porn and we are in a unique position to do something about it.”

Ms. Johnson said the panel discussion will focus on issues such as what constitutes child porn; who’s doing it, where and how; and how the industry can work even more closely with law enforcement and other organizations to put a stop to it.

Parry Aftab is the managing partner of Aftab & Savitt, P.C., a cyber law firm, and is the author of “The Parent’s Guide to Protecting Your Children in Cyberspace” (McGraw Hill 2000). She is the executive director of Cyberangels, the world’s largest Internet safety organization and “cyber-neighborhood” watch group, with over 3,000 volunteers in 14 countries who patrol the Internet looking for child pornography, child molesters and cyberstalkers

Andy Edmond is the founder and CEO of Flying Crocodile, Inc, the parent company of the adult Internet statistical analyst, SexTracker. SexTracker Statistics(TM) is a web traffic analysis tool that is on the Nielsen/NetRatings top 10.

IA2000 has attracted a record number of companies and attendees among dot-coms, technology firms, Web hosts, service providers, charge card processors and other firms. IA2000 is affiliated with AVN Online, the definitive trade magazine for adult Internet commerce and Adult Video News, the premiere trade journal for the adult video industry.
