By the time that you are reading about it on AINews.xxx… I will be in Las Vegas… preparing for the 20th Anniversary of the Legends of Erotica that will be taking place on Friday evening January 18 at Showgirl Video (631 South Las Vegas Blvd.)
What was co-created by Ray Pistol (the owner of the venue) and myself two decades ago as a modest attempt to acknowledge the hardcore heroes and heroines who faced daunting dangers to help create the warm, wet, writhing and wondrous world of XXX, has become the emotional highlight of a yearly event known as the Adult Entertainment Expo.
Indeed, the tiny stage at Showgirl Video – 631 South Las Vegas Blvd. (702) 385-4554 – has borne hectic witness to more molten memories and heartfelt happenings than any other place in adult industry history.
And the fans and friends who have been fortunate enough to attend the admirably reverential affairs have garnered myriads of mental and photographic images for a number of lusty lifetimes.
Therefore, it is my distinct honor to present the Class of 2013:
Rebecca Bardoux, Nikki Charm, Bob Chinn, Ron Hightower, Alexandra Silk and Elizabeth Starr.
The ceremonies, although almost always somewhat planned, also almost always most enjoyably never run with any kind of mandatory order.
And last year they were hilariously helped along by the presence of the ultra dapper Tony Montana (who was inducted by Ron “The Hedgehog” Jeremy), and who then eased into co-hosting the rest of the evening with one of the most crowd-pleasing performances that I have ever witnessed.
Tony, who I cordially nicknamed “Gaucho” (the role that Gilbert Roland played in “The Bad and the Beautiful”), has been invited back this year. And I wouldn’t dare give him any instructions.
Nor do I expect the event, which includes the inductees planting various body parts in enormous blocks of cement, to run smoothly.
And to that extent, I can’t resist stating that I excluded a couple of names that will be honored during the 2013 proceedings.
