(LOS ANGELES, CA) — 2010 Grammy winners Lady Gaga and Beyonce weren’t the only femme fatales seen on E! News last night during the world premiere of the video for their smash hit Telephone. Looking fabulously lean and mean, Wicked Pictures contract superstars jessica drake and Alektra Blue made potent, attention-grabbing guest appearances in the ”Prison for Bitches” segment that opened the show.
The nine-and-a-half-minute video, which made its debut Thursday night March 11th, was directed by acclaimed feature filmmaker Jonas Ackerlund (Spun), and played more like a short independent film, with funky 1970s ”Grindhouse” inspired credits introducing the high-profile cast, which is headlined by Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Tyrese Gibson (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, 2 Fast 2 Furious).
The mini-movie’s opening sequence finds Lady Gaga portraying a garishly dressed prison inmate who’s taunted by punked-out prisoners jessica and Alektra as she’s led through a grimy cellblock. The tense prelude’s climax sees Ms. drake literally licking the bars of her cell as Alektra gazes menacingly into the camera.
Once the Wicked Girls are established, Gaga’s partner-in-crime, Beyonce, stages an impromptu jailbreak, and the two songstresses spend the balance of the video tearing up the town, checking out the Pussy Wagon from Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill movies, terrorizing a diner, and just generally delivering what Fleshbot is calling a ”lush, gorgeous video with plenty of skin, plenty of sexy…and enough murder and masturbation to really make things interesting.”
Interesting is just the word to describe the Wicked ladies’ experience on the mammoth production. ”when I auditioned for the Lady Gaga / Beyonce video I was nervous, but really excited,” jessica reveals. ”as I got the callback, my excitement grew. While on the set, the entire experience was just so surreal to me. Being around Lady Gaga all day and watching her rehearse, sing, dance and create her own special kind of monster magic was one of the greatest things I’ve ever done. I’m delighted I made the final cut, and the only thing better than that is the fact that I got to share the experience with Alektra Blue. I’m really proud of us and I give my sincere thanks to Jonas Ackerlund for selecting us, and to Wicked for the amazing opportunity.”
Alektra echoes her contract sister’s happiness with the project, enthusing, ”I can’t believe we made the final cut! And to find out from fans that they saw us during the E! News premiere was extremely flattering.
”This really was a groundbreaking project, and it was great to be a part of its history.”
