Wicked, Armstrong, and Raven Reflect On Recently Unveiled XBIZ Nominations. Wicked Pictures Congratulates Contract Talent and Executives On 12 New XBIZ Nominations! Brad Armstrong, Michael Raven Reflect On ‘Fallen’ and ‘The Wicked.’

(LOS ANGELES, CA) — Friday evening saw industry trade source XBIZ announcing their 2009 XBIZ Award nominees, and adult industry powerhouse Wicked Pictures’ glamorous contract superstars, innovative directors, and talented executive staff received a total of twelve major nominations that spoke to the excellence of their work throughout the past year.

Fittingly, the XBIZ awards announcement kicked off with a 2009 nomination placing Wicked in the Studio of the Year category. Further mentions included Feature Movie of the Year noms for both Brad Armstrong’s gothic fantasy adventure Fallen and Michael Raven’s darkly erotic terror opus the Wicked. The excellence of both films also earned their creators nominations for Director of the Year – Individual Project. Luminous Fallen star jessica drake’s uniformly fine work in 2008 also earned her recognition in the Female Performer of the Year category.

The high quality of their output throughout the year earned both Armstrong and Stormy Daniels well-deserved mentions in the Director of the Year – Body of Work category.

Wicked actor/director Randy Spears exceptional work in 2008 was recognized with a Male Performer of the Year nomination, while contract performer and filmmaker Stormy Daniels’ ubiquitous presence in the mainstream media spotlight was once again honored with a nomination for Crossover Star of the Year. In a telling acknowledgment of Wicked’s marketing aplomb, Marketing Campaign of the Year nominations went to the stylish promotional packages created for both Fallen and the Wicked.

In reviewing the high-profile nominations earned by the company, Wicked Pictures contract director Brad Armstrong reflected, ”we worked very hard on ‘Fallen,’ and I’m glad to see that it received so much attention.

”On a personal level, the ‘Director of the Year – Body of Work’ nomination is a great honor, because although we put a lot of effort into our ‘big’ movies, the ultimate goal at Wicked is to give all our releases throughout the year this kind of attention and care.”

Contract filmmaker Michael Raven echoed his sentiments, adding, ”’The Wicked’ is a very unique project and I’m quite pleased with how it has been received.

”I’m also very proud of the acclaim, attention, and value placed upon Wicked Pictures as a whole.”

The final voting process for the XBIZ nominees is conducted in-house and the winners will be revealed at the 2009 XBIZ Awards ceremony on February 12th.
