(ENCINO, CA) — A seminar at the 2009 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE) will look at the importance of women to the adult industry, both as business executives and consumers, event organizers announced today. The seminar, titled ”Girls, Girls, Girls: The Growing Power of Women in Adult Entertainment,” will be presented on Friday January 9, from 11 a.m. To 1:00 p.m. The Expo takes place Thursday, January 8, thru Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, NV.
”Women play an increasingly important role in the growth and diversity of this industry,” noted Joy King, Vice President of Special Projects for Wicked Pictures, who will be moderating this session. ”From business owners to producers, marketing executives to publicists, their contribution continues to legitimize the adult entertainment industry and break the outdated stereotypes that exist about it.”
Each year, AEE presents a seminar on topics related to women and adult entertainment industry. For 2009, the women-focused seminar has been expanded to two hours to allow a more in-depth look at women’s influence on the business of adult entertainment, both as key business decision makers and a powerful group of consumers. Seminar attendees will learn how women are changing the adult entertainment business and how to market and sell adult product to the exploding number of female customers. Kelly Holland, film producer and CEO of Chick Media, will provide a keynote address, to be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Joy King. King will talk with Kim Airs of Pipedream Productions, Diane Duke of the Free Speech Coalition, entrepreneur Nenna Joiner, Evil Angel’s Karen Stagliano, Rachel Venning of Babeland, and Kristin Wynters of Pink Visual/Yappo.
