Steve Nelson Receives Carnal Medal of Honor

This years’ Legends of Erotica Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony saw more than the addition of the likes of Ron Jeremy, Debi Diamond, Kitten Natividad, Mimi Miyagi, Midori, and Brittany Andrews. Following induction of these new hall of famers, Bill Margold presented Adult Industry News’ Senior Editor, Steve Nelson with a rare prize; the Carnal Medal of Honor.

The medal is ”bestowed upon those who serve the adult entertainment business with great concern and faithful attention” according to PAW founder and president Bill Margold, ”The Carnal Medal of Honor was conceived by Raymond Pistol during his time as a free Speech Coalition board member (in the mid 1990’s.)” Margold finalized the concept by presenting Pistol himself with the first Medal during the 1999 Legends of Erotica event.

Margold awarded Steve Nelson the Carnal Medal this year for ”his fair-minded handling of a non-gossip based web site (Adult Industry News.)” Past honorees have included ”Dirty” Bob , Dave Michaels, John Douglas, Mark Kernes, Dr. Phillip Berman, Christi Lake, Stevi Secret, Anita Cannibal, Summer Haze and now Steve Nelson. ”I’m honored and humbled by the recognition,” says Nelson, ”An award like this makes me want to do more to somehow make the Industry better for everyone.”
