Having recently visited with Vanna Bardot on a Girlfriends Films shoot, I was delighted to run into her at the AVN trade show this year.
Because she is sweet and eager to put her stamp on the adult industry, getting a brief follow-up interview with her was an offer I couldn’t refuse.
Vanna pulled herself away from fan signing for a few minutes and we found a quiet spot in the hallway for a short talk.
First, a residential update.
“Since I last saw you, I got an apartment. I’m officially moved to LA now. Yeah, I’m really happy,” she says. Prior to that, Vanna had spent some time in Europe.
There’s also news on the shooting front.
“I got my first box cover for Hustler and that was really cool. I’m selling them here [at the AVN show] and I’m really excited that I’ve got some DVDs to sell.”
Since we’re at the AVN convention, she has news concerning awards.
“I got nominated for hottest newcomer. It’s a fan award.”
As for an industry award, she admits it’s a little early for her to be nommed for one of those.
“I have to be in at least a year, I think. So, hopefully next year. But, I’m just stoked I got nominated for fan award.”
I want to know how her on-camera scenes are coming along. Is she doing more girl/girl or boy/girl shoots these days.
“I usually do a little bit of both,” the nineteen-year-old replies. “I really want to do more girl-girl scenes just because there’s so many beautiful girls I want to work with.”
You’ve always an affinity for girls. Right?
“Yeah. My first love was a girl. It was where I started out. I took my name from my first crush,” Vanna smiles.
Vanna goes on to mention some of the directors she’s interested in working for: Kayden Kross and Missa X top her list. I bring up Bree Mills.
“I’ve been dying to meet her,” Vanna says. “I shot my first scene for them (Pure Taboo) in December. It was a lot of fun. Very different.”
How does she feel about gonzo?
“Gonzo’s so much fun. It definitely is a rite of passage in the industry.”
Naturally when we think of gonzo, John Stagliano and Evil Angel come to mind and that also means dabbling in European porn fare somewhere along the line.
Vanna came close.
“I was actually in Budapest last summer I was going to shoot with Rocco [Siffredi] but it ended up not working out with our dates. I’m going back in April so I want to try to get that to happen.”
She’s not shy about straight up hard-edged sex.
“As much as I love dialogue and stories, you know, sometimes it’s fun to just be like super slutty and be like boom, there’s a camera, there’s your dick, and go do your thing!”
But if it’s Evil Angel, it must be anal and we talked about this the last time. Has Vanna changed her mind about the backdoor?
“I don’t do anal. I want to one day, I really do.”
Personally, she hasn’t had “good experiences” with anal so far, she says, but she is game to move the needle on that subject.
“I am giving it a try I just haven’t found someone that I’m really comfortable with. I won’t do anything on camera unless I’m extremely comfortable and I know I’m gonna enjoy it [one day].”
A lot of wisdom from such a young girl, but my bet is the Evil Angel crowd will provide a rewarding experience for her if she decides to go with them.
