Myles’ Weekend Adventures: Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. Yeah, I know. I said that nobody would have to hear from me before the second week of January 2006. However, as anybody who knows me personally can attest to, it is a rare occasion when I can’t find something to talk about, so here goes nothing.

Tuesday night, December 20th

On this evening, the new Rouge Gentlemen’s Club did something a bit unusual, apparently because of the fact that the weekend is the Christmas Holiday. (Because of the, “Tuesdays,” spelling in the LA Weekly ad, I must wonder whether or not the club is planning to do this again from time to time, or if it was a one time thing. I suppose one could call the club at (818) 786-1822 and ask, if they were curious enough.) They bought in not one but four features for Tuesday night only. The four features are all relatively new up and coming adult film stars. The ladies featuring on this night were Roxy Jezel, Dana Vespoli, Michelle Maylene, and Kaiya Lynn.

I was told by Jim, who attended the event, that all four ladies did a relatively good job on stage, and looked good doing it. He also said that all four ladies were somewhat petite Asian women.

While I would have loved to have gone to the club, checked out these new ladies, and written reviews about them, I decided that it had been too tough a day, and I was simply too tired and sleepy to want to go anywhere. Allow me to explain.

Monday morning, I’m at the library when I get a call from my executive- vise- president- in- charge- of- back- seat- driving. She tells me that I need to change my computer time reservation to the afternoon for the next day. “Why,” I asked? “Because you have an eight forty-five appointment with the doctor for a physical tomorrow morning.” “Gee, thanks for consulting with me before meeting appointments on my behalf I said.” My lady has been bugging me to get a physical I didn’t want to be bothered with for several years now. Hey, I do not go to a doctor unless I think I’m dying! Also, I do not take so much as a single aspirin unless I absolutely have to, which is one hell of a long swing away from the activities of my outlaw biker days during the sixties. (Yes, I have done and seen many things during my life on this planet, but that is several other stories.)

By the time the doctor was through poking and prodding me, coupled with the fact that I didn’t get nearly enough sleep Monday night, I was completely worn out! (by the time the doctor was through checking me for hernias and checking my prostate, I was absolutely certain of one thing. There is no way in hell I’m gay! I did not enjoy the exam one little iota!)

Alexis Amore’s Birthday Party

Wednesday evening, December 21st, I attended Alexis Amore’s Birthday Party which was held at the Xalos (pronounced Halos) Comedy Bar , in Anaheim. (of the three comedians I heard before leaving, while I don’t expect to see them on an HBO special, or on the Comedy Channel, anytime soon, they weren’t too bad.

I’m a bit disappointed there weren’t any adult entertainment industry people I know there for the party. The only people there whom I knew were Alexis, her mother, Jonathan and a few other of Alexis’ fans I recognized from the clubs. There were several other men sitting in our VIP section whom I suspect were there because they had heard about the party on the Internet, or by some other means I’m not aware of. I say this because I didn’t see any of the last mentioned group bother to say anything to Alexis. However, those who did attend had a good time drinking, hanging out, and enjoying good company and the evening in general. (During the couple of hours I was there, Alexis was kept fairly busy by regular patrons of the bar who came over with cameras wanting to meet Alexis and to take free pictures with her. Being the sweet, friendly, gracious lady she is, Alexis happily posed for said pictures.)

Okay folks, I do believe this will be it until the second week of January, so everybody stay safe and have a great holiday season!

Joyeux Noël et bon année,

Myles Shaffer
