Let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Devyn “Miss D-licious” Devine. I am 28 years old, married, and I have one little girl. I live in Seattle, and I am a full time student and upcoming porn princess. I was given the opportunity to write a column for AINews.com because I am a new girl in the industry with many burning questions that I plan to ask you – the reader – to help me explore. Together, I hope that you’ll take this journey with me.
When people find out what I do they ask, “Why porn?” the way I see it, the decision was mine. I entered into the porn industry three months ago. Sure, it was an unconventional industry option, and I am not your stereotypical porn goddess – 5’10”, blond, super skinny with amazing boobs. Still, the option to cross over was there. I had danced for a number of years all over the U.S. – Seattle, Alaska, New York, and Texas to name a few places. I had always considered stripping a form of porn even though I wasn’t having sex for money then. Wasn’t nakedness and tantalizing teasing part of the porn game too? I thought it was, and that is why the switch from dancing to porn came easy for me.
I could say that the money was tempting, and the allure of glamour hooked me. I could tell you a tale of molestation and family abuse, and use the stories of my childhood as my excuse to enter into societal deviance. Those who know me would probably say I have “man-issues” and I use porn as my therapeutic release. I might tell you that I am some sort of nympho who adores sex and can’t get enough. The fact of the matter is that there is truth in all of those reasons. I entered porn, however, because I felt it was time. I knew I loved the spotlight, and I knew that I wanted to be seen as important, powerful, and above all else – beautiful. Yes, the money is great – a topic we’ll be exploring in upcoming columns. No, my family doesn’t know what I do. They aren’t giving me money, though, and I believe in paying my own way. Of course, porn is a form of therapy for me. When I began developing these DDDs in the fourth grade, and all the kids on the playground called me tissue girl for the next four years because they thought I stuffed my bra, I silently vowed to get even. I can’t think of a better way then using the butt of their jokes as my greatest asset to easily get me places in life that they have to get to by being stuffed away in an office all day. And let’s talk about the sex! Who doesn’t love sex who enters into porn? If I can go to work for 2 to 5 hours in a day, make anywhere from $600 to $1,200 and get pounded in all of my favorite positions, I do believe I must be doing something right! Honestly, however, the main reason I got into porn was because I wanted to prove to myself that I could. Understanding that there is a niche and a gimmick for everyone and every fantasy, I decided to try my hand out. I posted a resume, was contacted by many different people, and jumped in feet first. Three months later, here I am. I have 30 scenes under my belt, I am internationally known, and my little stone is beginning to make ripples in the huge pond of porn.
So that is a little about myself. I have come to believe that there is hope for just about anyone who wishes to enter into the “biz.” Whether it be from the studio “glam” porn in Los Angeles or the crazy new reality porn popping up on Internet site everywhere (really, do they honestly think we believe that they kick the girl out of the bus after they’ve finished screwing her?) porn is here to stay, and the opportunities seem to be endless. Tell me what you want to talk about, and I will explore all of my experiences in this crazy little world with you.
