Well, I’m sure that this isn’t going to make me the most popular girl in the industry but, I have my reasons for my opinions and am entitled to have them alone or with support. I fully support freedom of speech and want to say that before I continue.
Okay – what is it that I’m writing about? Well-this lap dance issue here in L.A. I AGREE with the 6 foot law – as a dancer (feature or otherwise) I think that this city Needs to impose something like this to do some damage control.
I found recently when I attempted to dance locally that dancing was not what was really going on here that is was more prostitution than dancing and that a “clean” dancer who wanted to dance (lap and on stage) wasn’t wanted – only those willing to give handjob etc. I’m sorry (not really) but, there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON that I should see a bare cock in a club when I go in to dance. On a set – Hell I’ll take two – ABSOLUTELY but, a club – NEVER. There is no reason for it.
Now if the situation in the clubs were different then I would be totally against the new law – but, it’s obvious that the clubs/dancers here can’t seem to do their thing without it being prostitution and last I looked that was still a crime in L.A. The guys are used to going in and getting more than a dance and any law that would attempt to address that situation would be silly because it’s obvious that the girls/clubs aren’t following the laws written on the books already.
Maybe if the law is passed and a few are made examples of then the men going into the clubs will be able to be sated by “simple” lapdances because that will be pushing the envelope and have a little mystique to it again. Maybe everything needs to be taken away for a little to be given back. I mean it’s obvious that laws aren’t followed anyway or I wouldn’t have seen what I did when I went to dance here. Maybe the dancers will still be able to make a living without putting themselves and their criminal records (or lack of) up on the chopping block for a few bucks – not to mention their self esteem.
Just my opinion – and I wish lapdancing were all that the guys needed to have a good time in a club.
Maybe it will be again.
