A number of the members of my DaveCummings.com site have asked me to chronicle my personal adventures in Las Vegas during the recent 2002 Adult Internet Show and the 2002 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo; so, here goes!
Because I needed to bring lots of cumbersome filming equipment just in case I found an opportunity to do some filming for my Sugardaddy/Sex Fun/Knee Pad Nymphos series, I drove the 5+ hours from San Diego to Las Vegas, arriving on Monday afternoon in time to check into The Venetian Hotel and head immediately for the Adult Internet Show.
Upon entering the show, I went directly to the YNOTNetwork.com booth, a beehive of expertise for anyone needing information about the adult side of the Internet; there, I chatted with Bob of YNOTBob.com and the other knowledgeable and extremely informed folks there. As Bob and I were catching up on the party schedule, Monet (of www.monetsweb.com) and Beth (of www.bethandaaron.com) stopped by —-I’ve had the “hots” for the lovely Monet for a long time, ever since I first saw her give a BJ on her site last year. I also spent some time at the www.wildlifexxx.com booth where lots of attendees wanted to chat about their favorite “Screw My Wife, Please’ scenes! That night, I received a Publisher’s Choice Award from the folks at www.adultstarsmagazine.com at a party attended by every big name in the adult business; it was all part of the Adult Stars Magazine Erocktica Show combining rock-n-roll and Adult Industry folks into one showcase. I also had the pleasure of being the Presenter for the Consumer’s Choice Award for best Supporting Actress for 2001. Rick James, who has sold millions and millions of his “Super Freak” record, made a surprise appearance and came onto the stage to sing his hit song. Adult superstar Jill Kelly and Ksex radio’s Wankus expertly handled hosting duties. The event was a huge success! From Erocktica I hustled over to the Bellagio Hotel for a penthouse suites party hosted by my Distributor, Gigi of Avalon Enterprises. My dieting went to hell at this party, too! Great food, gorgeous girls, and lots of laughing made for another fun night.
Day 4 started with a 5-mile run/jog around Las Vegas, followed by all-day at the AVN Expo booths. The crowds were large, orderly, and happy. I snuck out for a half-hour to do some “promo’s” for Playboy Television; you probably know from my previous columns how much I enjoy the many appearances I’ve made over the past year on the fun, classy, and professional “Night Calls 411” program hosted by Tera Patrick and Crystal Knight. The evening started off with an elegant party hosted by Playboy, followed by a party celebrating the premiere of X-citement Magazine’s Las Vegas launch (at which I got to pose with a number of sexy girls, some of whom made a big deal out of giving the “old guy” a “chubbie”-OK, so it was full-blown raging erection when they actually touched my crotch area!). Next stop was the benefit auction and party for www.aim-med.org, complete with many of the famous adult actresses dancing and entertaining their hearts out for this worthy cause. At my advanced age I should be sitting in a rocking chair watching 1950’s re-runs or heading off to bed after the 9PM news, not filming hard-core stuff and “playing” at late-night parties! Pray for me!
Day 5 was very busy at the Expo where the crowds were huge! I’m told that despite the effects of Sep 11th’s murders of innocent people at the hands of terrorists, and the slow economy, attendance was UP this year. Let’s face it, sex thrives in any economy and/or environment! I couldn’t help but notice the enthusiasm of attendees, and their appreciation for the way the girls were so congenial, sexy-looking, and friendly. Following more Promo’s for Playboy Television, I attended the Free Speech meeting, the wedding of Brooke Hunter to Don Hollywood, and a brief happy hour event before heading off to the AVN Awards Show-an event where the girls dressed up like it was their prom, and the crowd at The Venetian was 10-deep on either side of the 200-yard opening leading to the show; flashbulbs were popping all over the place, and indeed it seemed like the AVN Awards Show was bigger than the Academy Awards show. A post-show party was a ball, and the crowds strained to get a look at their favorite starlets.
Day 6 started with a short run/jog, breakfast where other diners applauded as we were leaving (we didn’t know we were recognized), and another five hours signing and posing at the AVN Entertainment Expo booths. That night I drove back to San Diego, stopping for some “action” with one of my “groupie” girls along the way. I think I got an average of 3 hours sleep a night in Las Vegas, expended more ejaculate than I ever thought possible, and added another 8 pounds to my overweight/old/wrinkled body—since my return, I’ve made a half-hearted attempt to diet, a major effort to increase my running, and I’ve increased my porn-shooting frequency (even yesterday while filming with the beautiful Jewels, I stayed away from all the cookies that were available for us to snack on-besides, she was watching me like a hawk and would have jumped all over me if I reached for the cookies!
