The war against terrorism is ongoing; and, adult entertainment continues—in fact, I sense that except for a temporary slow down during the first few days of the terrible murders of innocent human beings during the Sep 11th attacks, many folks seem to have since turned to adult videos/adult Internet sites/gentlemen’s clubs as a security blanket of sorts as they seek a diversion away from their diet of constant television news and reports.
Indeed, it is natural and normal for people to feel sadness about the evil happenings of 9-11; likewise, I believe that it is natural and normal (as well as healthy, both emotionally and physically) and instinctive for humans to enjoy sex as a worldly gift of living! Sex between and among consenting adults is a wondrous and beautiful bridge towards resuming the normal activities of life. I believe that the terrible events of Sep 11th against humanity have been a major factor of late in motivating many people to cuddle up with their Significant Other and to feel safe, to show their caring and love via sex, and to feel emotionally close. Ironically, the radical religious terrorists have indirectly been responsible for motivating caring individuals to seek an escape from the evilness of 9-11 by intensifying their use of sex and lovingness. My conversations with Adult Industry folks indicate that business is humming along nicely of late; my www.davecummings.com web site is busier than ever, and I suspect that this is the case for many adult sites.
Having lived and worked in the Middle East as a U.S. Army officer, I bet that Islam’s Allah is sad about the actions of the terrorists who used a radical interpretation of HIS religion as their excuse to murder people and cause havoc and suffering; certainly, the terrorists are radicals who don’t represent the views of the real followers of the true Islamic faith! Instead of virgins awaiting them upon their deaths, the terrorists are undoubtedly damned to eternal punishment for insulting their Allah, Islam, and mankind; I believe the same is true for all purveyors of terrorism who use the guise of religion to entice followers to use violence and terrorism to advance their radical religious distortions. Every religion on Earth is probably sad about the murders of Sep 11th, and what terrorists seek to impose upon others. God save our Planet!
Recently, Christi Lake and John Alleyn, Dr. X, and Serenity and the folks of Las Vegas Novelties formed an ad hoc group called the “United Adult Community” to provide financial support to the victims of the 9-11 terrorism attacks. These fine folks worked hard and long to organize a spectacular fund raising event at the Hollywood Déjà Vu for the terrorism victims; their successful efforts resulted in an $8,200 donation to the American Red Cross! Many, many, many adult film stars graciously donated their time, efforts, and all their earnings for the evening to the event. Many adult companies donated money, or videos and DVD’s for raffles and giveaways. Déjà Vu Hollywood graciously opened their facilities and provided great support for the event-in fact, the All-American owner of all the nationwide Déjà Vu clubs (I believe there are over 50 of them) was personally on site to lend a helping hand. Though it’s been many years since I last wore it, I donned my snuggly fitting uniform (which, since I’m a Regular Army Officer and still subject to Courts-Martial, had to be altered to turn it into a “costume”— so I added a Navy Expeditionary medal above my real Bronze Star from my Vietnam days with an Infantry Division), and participated in the on-stage opening ceremonies and comments; later, an Air Force Lt Col pilot and myself escorted Midori on stage where we saluted while she sang The National Anthem. Big-name stars performed throughout the evening, and other adult stars attended and mingled with attendees. I was so proud to be a part of the Adult Industry! I’m told that many other Adult Internet and adult-related fund raising efforts have also contributed to 9-11 victims and humanity!

In these trying days of seeking justice against the evil terrorists associated with the murders of 9-11, let’s all be mindful that family and friends mean so much to humans; that Americans deeply care about each other and will never allow freedom to be obstructed; and, that we all need to try to get back to normalcy while never forgetting the need to be involved citizens who constantly cherish our freedoms. Lastly, let’s all show our resolve by being voters!
