Brandon Iron

There’s just no one out there quite like Brandon Iron. After many professional and cordial exchanges via e-mail to set up this interview, I logged onto FuckedandBound.com and checked out some of his work.

Okay, I’m new around here and all, but this was a really amazing Dr.Jeckyll and Mr.Hyde situation – this polite man really jacking up a beautiful sub mentally as well as physically. When I finally got a chance to pick his brain, I found there’s really no point in altering his answers to my questions in any way…I can’t improve upon what’s he’s said. Given that, here is my interview with Brandon verbatim.

Rebecca- You have the best screen name in the Industry. How did you come up with it?

Brandon- I was born and raised in western Canada where you brand cattle with a branding iron. So, in my infinite wisdom, I thought it would be funny to call myself Brandon Iron. Hardly anyone gets the reference but it’s a lot better than my other choice: Billy Club. Your name says a lot about who you are! I’m glad I stuck with Brandon Iron because I have now morphed into him and when I look into a mirror, I don’t see a shy, short guy from Canada. I see a stud who has conquered an industry that chews up girls and guys in equal measure. I’ve survived over a decade without really having to work at all. I’ve met wonderful people and travelled to some amazing places. Good times!

R- How did you get started in the Adult Entertainment field?

B- I have been a fan of porn for as long as I can remember. From reading (I guess you call it that) Playboy in my ‘fort’ when I was WAY too young to do so to renting VHS movies by the armload, I have always been powerless to the pleasures of the flesh. I really believed that the Playboy centerfold of my birth-month was my girl. I progressed to hardcore review mags because I enjoyed the reality of it all. It wasn’t staged. It was very visceral and immediate.

After completing a B.A. In English, I went to Mexico for a vacation. There was a layover in Los Angeles and I met with an agent. Beginner’s luck struck and I was fortunate enough to get my first opportunity. Members of the Brandon Iron Yahoo group have tracked down shots of the shoot and posted pics. Too funny!

I should backtrack a bit and say that I was a fan of the pornstar Aja and saw her dance at a local club. I was the only sober person in the crowd and actually appreciated her show. Some guys were behaving like idiots and didn’t know who she was in the least. I stayed around after and got her autograph. She was really cool and informed me about her agent and I took it from there. Little did I know that doors slam shut on new, unproven guys quicker than I used to cum while masturbating to Ginger Lynn movies! I persisted and the rest is history.

Guys! If nothing else, learn this: YOU CAN’T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER. Example, phone call to agent. Hello? I would like to register with your agency. Agent: Sorry, we don’t need guys at this time. Call back in 2 weeks. (Same story in 2 weeks, etc.) THEY ARE COUNTING ON YOU TO GIVE UP….DON’T! I am living proof that an average guy can make it if you just refuse to lose and constantly convince one person to give you one opportunity. It really does work, not only in porn but in life as well. If you can’t live without being in a video, convince a producer and you will get a shot. It may take a while, but as someone who has been inside Bree Olson’s ass, I can tell you it is worth all the trouble in the world.

R- What would you tell people trying to start a career now?

B- Start early. Never give up. Don’t beat yourself up when you fail, you are only human. Performing is a two-way street. Respect your partner but if it’s not reciprocated, save your pride and walk. This job is not supposed to be a job at all. It’s supposed to be fun. Remember that always.

R- You have worked for both Twisted Factory and Kink.com – what advice do you have for models considering working for these companies?

B- Gain some experience first and find out the machinations of your own psyche. The biggest thrill in BDSM is the mind fuck, not the physical fuck. If you can toy with someone’s head and instill real fear into them, you have them in the palm of your hand. Of course, you never actually harm your partner-slave. You take them on a journey where you are in control and they grant you the power to take them to places that involve deep trust.

Doms should always learn how to dom by being a sub. Know what it’s like to be on the brink of being broken before you do the same to someone. Take some punishment so you know what the sting of a whip feels like. It’s a fine line between a tear that is coaxed out of an eye from pleasure versus one out of pain. The key is to keep the energy gradually building in a crescendo until a point of ecstasy is reached. Tease and denial…tease and denial.

Any brute can punch someone. Tact is the art of having someone thank you for punching them. Be tactful.

R- You seem to travel extensively…any exciting trips coming up, and places you want to go?

B- I am writing this from Montreal where I am meeting new models and having a great time enjoying the winter activities in the city. I was last here during the summer so it’s a nice change. In April, I go to Prague, Brno, Budapest, and Bucharest.

R- Any places you regret going?

B- None! I have learned many things and had many great experiences seeing places like Maui, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, London, Brussels, Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna, Budapest, Paris, Prague, the Canary Islands, Barcelona, Madrid, Vilnius, Minsk, St. Petersburg, and Moscow.

It’s taught me that there are beautiful women everywhere in all shapes and sizes. They don’t all speak English but they all enjoy sex. It’s a wonderful, beautiful thing!

R- You have a recently released movie…can you tell me a bit about that? Did you Produce/Direct/Star in it?

B- I do one DVD per month that is distributed by JM Productions. My most recent release is Hookers and Blow. (Cover at www.jerkoffzone.com) it features women assisting my friend Joe Blow with his sex addiction. There are some great one-on-ones, some anal, some group sex, some blowbangs, facials, and a great 35-load cum cocktail that is pounded back by a wild young lady named Starla. Other girls featured include Missy Stone, Nika, Wendy West, Natalie Sky, and Priscilla Milan. I make the movies 3 hours and try to be generous with DVD extras including bonus scenes and previews.

I produced and directed the movie. I am also in the DVD extras as I shot the main feature.

R- If you weren’t in this field, what would you be doing for a living?

B- I would hope to be earning a living as a travel writer. That would be the dream job but my last 9 to 5 was working for lawyers. Never say never, but I hope to not return to that line of work. It was thankless and very unfulfilling.

R- Where do you see the Industry going in the next five years?

B- I see DVDs becoming less popular and websites and Video On Demand (VOD) becoming more popular. There will be even more production and more girls will dabble in the industry as it gains in social acceptance or mainstream popularity. Vivid just released a movie with a woman who was on American Idol. Wow! Talk about mainstream!

R- If you had a magic wand, what would you change about it?

B- I would change the industry so that there would be less cheating, lying, and stealing. People get fucked over often and on a regular basis in this business. I have met my share of megalomaniacal pieces of shit who smile to your face while ripping you off. It’s the law of the jungle and you can get taken for all you’ve got. Karma cannot come soon enough but I just wish there was a modicum of integrity about doing business. I try to do my best to treat people as I would want to be treated. Just because it’s porn doesn’t mean you have to be sleazy about how you conduct yourself. There is enough for everyone if you think long-term.

R- What is the worst hotel room you have ever stayed in and why?

B- Wow, that’s a tough one! There have been so many! I have shot as talent in places where you would not want to take your shoes off. The rug was matted with dirt and gum.

I was down in Tijuana last year with a friend when we decided to crash at a dirt cheap place close to a notorious bar known as a place to meet ladies of convenience. The bar is called Adelita bar and it’s close to Avenue of the Revolution. Well, someone should revolt against this craptacular zero star place that charges $16 for the privilege of inhaling paint fumes in a closet with no windows and a TV that doesn’t get reception. All this would have still been acceptable had it not been for the fact that someone else’s key turned our door lock at 4am. It was a rude awakening to say the least. I didn’t even enjoy the luxurious communal bathroom a few hours later when it was time to leave. However, I was smart enough to tip the bellman (if that’s what you call the guy who shows you to your room and asks for El Tippo…for what, I am not sure. He didn’t carry our bags or anything.) I’m sure he would have been the first to rob us so it was worth the 20 pesos. Ah, memories! I didn’t even mention the beautiful mariaci bands that serenaded us to sleep…until 3:30am. God bless those drunken Mexicans! They sure know how to party!

R- What is the strangest food you’ve eaten?

B- It’s a toss-up between a funky-smelling Ethiopian goat dish and the chicken-like rattlesnake served in San Diego’s Gaslamp District. Both kind of stayed with me for a while. In fact, they overstayed their welcome if you know what I mean.
