Myles’ Weekend Adventures: Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. Don’t look now, but I actually found something to write about while on the drive to New Orleans! Thanks to Jonathan supplying me with some info that I did not have time to look for, even if I had thought to do so, I found out that I would be able to see a feature on my trip; therefore, let us speak of her without further ado.
Mia Haze
Thursday evening, May 18Th, on my way to New Orleans, I stopped in at the Gold Club, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to meet Mia Haze and to observe two of her shows.
I found Mia to be a beautiful women with a fabulous looking body! While chatting with her, I discovered her to be very friendly, intelligent, well spoken, and a lot of fun to chat with. In the short amount of time we had to chat, I developed the opinion that Mia has a very good sense of humor.
At one point, I mentioned to Mia that, during her first show, she had made me feel as if we already knew each other, and that she was happy to see me. She told me that somebody at the club had told her there was a man with a handlebar mustache present who had stated that he was there to see the feature. She then said that it wasn’t hard to figure out who I was, and that is why she paid some extra special attention to me. Of course, at the time, she didn’t know what I do. Once she knew, I told her she didn’t have a thing to worry about. I said that, after observing her performance, I was quite impressed with her and that I would be able to write a glowing review of her and her abilities.
For her first show of the evening, Mia wore a beautiful cheerleader uniform type of costume complete with gold pom-poms. I can’t really think of a good way to describe the costume she wore for the second show other than to say it was black, very sexy, and included a cape.
Mia is an excellent performer, and from what I have seen of her, I would have to say that her shows are generally somewhat high energy. Also, it would appear that she truly enjoys performing.
Mia’s musical selection seems to be always good and very appropriate for her associated shows. Additionally, her interaction with the denizens of the tip rail is excellent. Can we say, up close and in your face personal?!
Toward the end of each show, Mia did an interesting variation of the old, “Ride for five.” It was a ride for ten. The higher price isn’t the interesting part. What was so different about Mia’s, “Ride for ten,” was that, instead of sitting on a customer and grinding for a few seconds, Mia would have the customer lay back on the stage, of course, then she would position herself on top of, or over them, in one pose or another, while the assistant would take a Polaroid picture of them, which Mia would autograph after the show.
Talk about southern hospitality, some young gentleman insisted on buying me a, “Ride for ten,” just to see me do it! Right after that, another southern gentleman gave me the 8X10 that Mia had tossed out to him during the show. Between these two men, and the wonderful treatment I received from Mia, I began to feel like I was in a club back home hanging out with old friends! My warmest thanks to all.
I highly recommend that any of my readers who might get a chance to go to a club to see and meet Mia Haze in person do so without fail. She will be well worth the time, money, and effort to do so. Also, I want all of my readers to begin the process of bugging the owners and managers of their local clubs to book Mia for a feature gig. (Mia told me that she books mainly through Continental.)

Baton Rouge Gold Club
I was quite impressed with the Baton Rouge Gold Club, which, by the way, is where Stormy Daniels used to house dance when she wasn’t on the road featuring under her original name, Stormy Waters, before moving to Los Angeles and signing with Wicked Pictures.
The club is very nicely laid out with good, comfortable furnishings. The dancers are all very good looking, friendly ladies. Also, there is a very nice and lovely looking bartender there named Beth, who not only looks a lot like Angel Cassidy but bears to some degree or other a resemblance to several other adult film stars I know.
Additionally, Jennifer, the beautiful young lady working the door the night I was there is a real sweetheart! She and I chatted quite a bit off and on during my time at the club resulting in my falling head over heels in like with her. I only wish Jennifer lived in L. A. and worked at one of the clubs I frequent so that I could see more of her, especially since I would love to be close friends with her, but quite possibly may never see her again!
Shay Laren
Saturday afternoon, May 20Th, I learned that the June Penthouse Pet of the Month, Shay Laren, was to be at the French Quarter Penthouse Club, which was formerly the New Orleans Gold Club, starting at 10pm. I had planned to go to the club to meet her, but for various reasons, I ended up not going. I have since come to believe that Ms. Laren was only going to be doing a meet and greet scenario, and not performing on the stage; therefore, I really wouldn’t have had much to review, so nothing lost I believe.
New Orleans
I am almost sorry I didn’t cancel my trip, put this week into the rental pool, stay home and save the money. What I have seen so far is depressing. There are many shops still closed or now just empty buildings. My most beloved hangout, “Michaul’s Live Cajun Music Restaurant,” is still closed. And, Friday and Saturday May 19Th and 20Th the number of tourists was lower than the coldest December day I’ve ever spent here.
Today, Sunday, May 21st, there are enough tourists milling about to make it look like an almost normal May Sunday afternoon. I am almost happy to see so many people acting stupid and getting in my way. It means that some of my local friends will make some much needed money today.
I am debating whether or not to tour the damaged areas of the city. On the one hand, I don’t want to feel like some vulture out there gloating over the misery of other people. On the other hand I want to see the true picture for myself and I know that all the still pictures and news videos in the world can never show the whole picture. (I am also afraid that I would end up crying in front of a bunch of strangers. After all, I love New Orleans immensely. It is like my second home.) A few local people have encouraged me to take a destruction tour. They have said that I really should go out and see what it is really like for myself. One lady told me just today, that they are still occasionally finding bodies.
I have found several of my local friends alive and well. However, there are still many people I have not seen nor heard anything about, so I have no way of knowing if they are dead or alive, nor whether they are still here, or now living elsewhere.
Well, enough of the morbid stuff. I will wrap it up for this week. Everybody stay safe and have a fantastic week, while I attempt to have as much fun as possible under the circumstances here in Naw’lins.
Bonsoir et au revoir,
Myles Shaffer
