Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. This article will be about a four-day collection of an adult entertainment convention, an award show, and related events and parties, and in my own personal opinion, it is the biggest and greatest adult industry event in America if not the entire world. So, everybody should read on to learn some of the details.
AVN Adult Entertainment Expo
Tuesday, January 17, I drove up to Las Vegas, Nevada, where I ate at the new Golden Corral Buffet and then went to check in at the Silver Sevens Hotel and Casino.
Wednesday, January 18, my Editor-in-Chief, Steve Nelson, and I went to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino to pick up our press credentials and attend the first day of the 2017 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo.
The people I saw and spoke with on this day that I already knew were: Archie from LA Direct Models, James Bartholet, Tori Black, Mick Blue, Lily Cade, Ethan Cage and Lexi Lamour, Charlie Comet and Kinky GA, Simone Danalustrous, Industry photographer Dominic… Alana Evans, Leya Falcon, Manuel Ferrera, April Flores, Industry photographer Rick Garcia, the reigning Tommy Gunn, owner, editor, and publisher of Glamourgirl Magazine Rich Hansen, the legendary Nina Hartley, the head of LA Direct Models and the Lee Network Derek Hay, Allie Haze, Melissa Hill, publicist Erica Icon, Ron Jeremy, Sunny Lane, Alice Lighthouse, Marcus London, Sheridan Love, Mia Malkova, Deahja Milan, Anna Bell Peaks, Teagan Presley, Jessa Rhodes, Industry photographer Ricky Rich, Kristina Rose, Luna Star, Natalia Starr, Charlotte Stokely, Carmen Valentina, Sarah Vandella, Angela White, and Luc Wylder,
The people I met and spoke with for the first time on this day were: Avery Adair, Lindsey “Banksie” Banks, Chloe Couture, Abella Danger, Nina Elle, Shay Evans, Kendra Heart, Aria Michaels, Adriana Moretti, Whitney Morgan, Pocket, Quinn Quest, Adria Rae, Bella Rose, and Nat Turnher.
Thursday, January 19
On this day, the people I saw and spoke with who were already known to me that I had not already seen were: Alexis Adams, Anikka Albrite, Britney Amber, August Ames, Brittany Andrews, Joanna Angel, Brandy Aniston, Julia Ann, Bridgette B., Abby Lee Brazil, Julie Cash, Brooklyn Chase, Tia Cyrus, Lisa Daniels, Kate England, Nicky Ferrari, Dillion Harper, Marica Hase, Emma Hix, Jenna Ivory, Dani Jensen, Jesse, formerly known as Jesse Jane (Jesse told me that this was her last appearance. She is completely retiring from the industry.), Jillian Janson, Kayla Kayden, Kendall Kayden, (Kayla and Kendall are real life sisters.) Morgan Lee, Brandi Love, Dave Michaels of A-List Features, Alexis Monroe, Katie Morgan, Tasha Reign, Monica Rise, Brett Rossi, Audrey Royal, Selena Santana, Ivy Sherwood, Kyle Stone, Kleio Valentien, and Juelz Ventura.
The people I met and spoke with on this day who were new to me were: Kamille Amora, Cali Carter, Sophia Grace, Jennifer Jacobs, Jill Kassidy, Kylie Page, Alix Lovell, Scarlett Sage, Jay Taylor, and Gina Valentina.
Thursday night, January 19
Once the convention had ended for the day, I went back to my hotel to stash some of my gear. I then drove to the Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club to attend the All Adult Film Star Comedy Show.
The show was hosted by none other than Rebecca Bardoux.
The first adult film star comedian to perform was Rebecca Love. Rebecca was followed on stage by Kurt Lockwood.
After Kurt had finished, Rebecca Bardoux took the stage, told a few jokes, then introduced Kyle Stone.
Once Kyle was done, Katie Morgan took the stage, told a few jokes, then conducted a raffle for adult items that had been donated by one of the adult novelty exhibitors.
Katie was followed by the magic of Mon Dre the Magician. Then came Ron Jeremy, followed by Nina Hartley.
Last but certainly not least was Evan Stone wrapping up the show. In my opinion, Evan stole the show again this year.
Friday, January 20
The people whom I already knew that I saw and spoke with on this day that I had not already seen during the week were: Cristi Ann, A J Applegate, Veronica Avluv, Samantha Bentley, VickI Chase, Brooke Haven, Helly Mae Hellfire, Alura Jenson, Eric John, Tia Kai, Eva Long, Syren De Mer, Nikki Phoenix, Cindy Starfall, Misty Stone, Viva LA Muerte, and Inari Vachs,
The people I met and spoke with for the first time during this day were: Lena Anderson, Adrian Black, Edyn Blair, Marley Brinx, Cece Capella, Karlee Grey, Nickey Huntsman, Amber Ivy, Raquel Love, Riley Mae, Karen Materia of chalurcate.com/k_materie, Skyler Nicole, Krystal Orchid, Gia Paige, Ashley Pink, Charlie Rae, Bailey Rayne, and Violet Starr.
Saturday, January 21
The people whom I met and spoke with on this day that I had not already seen during the week that I knew were: Helen Bedd, Adriana Chechik, Jayden Cole, Jaded Dawn, Sara Jay, Tee Reel, John Stagliano, Alexis Texas, and Vicky Vette.
The people I met and spoke with for the first time ever during this day were: Cory Chase, Ariella Faye, Jessie Lee, Dolly Leigh, and Kira Noir.
There were AVN AEE related parties and other events going on every night starting on Tuesday night, January 17. However, the only thing I attended was the aforementioned comedy show on Thursday night, January 19.
There was a time not too many years ago, when I would go out to at least one event every night and do my thing the next day and night on three or four hours of sleep. Unfortunately, I am getting much too old to keep up with such a pace in this day and age.
That is a wrap good people. We should all meet back here the next time and continue discussing fun times and beautiful women. Until then, everybody stay safe, have a great week, and live life as if there were no tomorrow!
