Myles’ Weekend Adventures: VIP Party, Glory Stories Fundraiser – Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. This column will be about a party I didn’t feel well enough to attend and a fundraising event I did attend. So good people, please read on to learn more.
Spearmint Rhino Customer Appreciation VIP Party
Wednesday evening, November 27, the City of Industry Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen’s Club held a Customer Appreciation VIP Party. The club was closed at 6:30 PM and reopened to invited guests only at 7 PM. The closed party lasted from that time until Midnight at which time the club was reopened to the general public.
The party on this evening was entitled, “Spanxxxgivings.”
During the closed party, the club had a full bar that served complimentary drinks and alcoholic cocktails. (Alcohol was served to only those attendees who were 21 and over. [Actually, I am reasonably certain you had to be at least 21 years old to even enter the party.]) There were also waiters roaming the floor with trays of complimentary gourmet appetizers.
On this evening, the club had at least thirty or more of their best house dancers working.
Another interesting thing about the party is that there were two girl stage shows during the entire party.
While I originally had every intention of attending the party, when time to do so rolled around, I simply did not feel up to even leaving the house. Therefore, I am writing this based upon advertising and my own personal past experiences during this club’s parties in the not too distant past.
Glory Stories Fundraiser
On Tuesday, October 22, 2013, Carlos Batts suddenly and very unexpectedly passed away.
Carlos was well known for his work as an artist, photographer, and director in the adult entertainment, fetish, and music genres.
On Saturday night, November 30, a performance of, “Glory Stories,” was conducted at the iO West Theater, in Hollywood, as a fundraiser to aid Carlos’ widow, April Flores, with medical and funeral expenses.
The cast for this performance consisted of Brandon Barrick, Tommy Bechtold, Sean Cowhig, Blake Hogue, Zach Huddleston, guest storyteller turned regular cast member adult film star Justine Joli, Patrick Ian Moore, Neil Ruddy, Stacy Rumaker, and Jeff Thompson.
Guest storytellers during this performance were adult film star April Flores and legendary adult film star Nina Hartley.
The performance went very well, some money was raised, and the audience was almost standing room only.
Admission to the show was free and raffle tickets were sold in lieu of admission fees.
Raffle prizes were supplied mainly by Nina Hartley and Justine Joli. April Flores may have also provided some raffle prizes, but I do not remember for certain whether she did or not. Somehow, it doesn’t make sense to me that she would have provided prizes when she was the one in need.
That is a wrap folks. Let us all meet back here the next time and continue to discuss good times and beautiful women. Until then, everybody stay safe, have a great week, and live life as if there were no tomorrow!
Bonsoir et au revoir,
Myles Shaffer
