Myles’ Weekend Adventures: PSK Ninth Anniversary
Bonjour mon amis! Comment CA VA? Myles Shaffer here. There wasn’t too much of anything going on during this particular week, but I did manage to have one enjoyable evening. Let’s all move along to see what it was that I found to do.
Pornstar Karaoke
Tuesday, September 25, I went to Sardo’s Grill and Lounge to spend a couple of hours hanging out and enjoying the good company of some of the adult entertainment industry’s nicest and most fun-loving people. And it was Pornstar Karaoke’s ninth anniversary on this night!
Some of the people in attendance on this night were Rebecca Bardoux, the Chorizo Brothers Chuy and Chong, the legendary Ron Jeremy, the always beautiful Tessa Lane (Yes, I do think the world of Tessa.), Amber Lynn, industry photographer Gordon Mui, adult film star and co-owner of Ideal Image Management Tee Reel, veteran adult film star Lana Sands, Lucky Starr, Valentino and Adam Wood.
During the evening, I had the pleasure of meeting a newcomer to the industry, the very lovely Madison Rose.
Nicki Hunter did a great job as the hostess as she always does! (Mika Tan graciously filled in for a little while when Nicki had to run home for a few minutes to take care of something. And Mika did a very good job in the pinch.)
Pornstar Karaoke Club is a weekly event that takes place every Tuesday evening from 9PM to 2AM. The public is welcome. In regard to adult entertainment industry people, one never knows who might show up until they are there. On any given Tuesday, one will see industry people from relatively new starlets to legends such as Ron Jeremy, etc.
Pornstar Karaoke Club got its start in 2003 when several friends in the industry went to Sardo’s to have a few drinks and listen to people doing karaoke. (Sardo’s has karaoke almost every night of the week. I believe Sardo’s also has at least one comedy night.)
When the original group of people thought about how much fun they had, they decided to do it again the following week, and Pornstar Karaoke Club was born.
If memory serves me correctly, two of the original group that started it all were Wankus and Constance ‘Connie’ Le. (While Wankus has gone on to a new life, and is sorely missed by many, our beloved Connie rarely misses a Tuesday night. [She is also one of the best singers there!])
