Myles’ Weekend Adventures: Bare Bowling, Glory Stories
Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. Here we go again, another correction. When recently writing about the Exotic Dancer Gentlemen’s Club Owners Expo, I forgot to mention that I saw Simone Danalustrous, and that I met Logan Drae.
Let us now move on to discussing a couple of recent events I attended.
Bare Bowling
Sunday, September 2, I spent the evening attending the PAW Foundation’s annual, “Bare Bowling,” event.
For whatever reason, there was a last minute location change for this event. This year’s event was held at a small eight lane bowling alley in the Montrose area. The smaller venue had its pros and cons. Being so small as it was, it was rather crowded. On the plus side, the smaller establishment made the event feel much more intimate than it has in years past.
By the time the festivities had ended, it had become quite apparent that everybody in attendance had a world of fun with good friends, made new friends, and did lots of networking.
During the course of the event, the people I saw in attendance that I knew were: Alex Chance, Ana Foxxx, the original Tommy Gunn, owner and publisher of Glamour Girl Magazine Rich Hansen, Max Hardcore, Nina Hartley, Ron Hightower, Tod Hunter, Erika Icon, Isiah James IV, Ron Jeremy, Amber Lynn, Daejha Milan, Nadia Night, Tee Reel, Lana Sands, Herschel Savage, Alexandra Silk and Luc Wylder, and Powder White.
By the time the event had ended, I had met for the first time: Summer Bay, Crystal Cane, Caprice Capone, the incredibly cute and pretty Dulce, Lilly Evans, Lola Foxx, Presley Hart, Amor Hilton, Sapphire Knight, Natasha Monroe, Shani Reid, Casey Storm, and a model who is referred to as Rebel Wink.
I wish to take the time to thank Bill Margold for this event, and I hope it will continue to take place for many years to come. It is one of the most enjoyable adult industry events it has ever been my pleasure to take part in.
Glory Stories
Friday evening, September 14, I drove up to the iO West Improv Theater, in Hollywood, to observe another performance of, “Glory Stories.”
As it turned out, there was no opening act on this night. I was told that because of all the favorable press coverage since the inception of, “Glory Stories,” it has been decided that, “Glory Stories,” should fill the entire allotted time slot as a standalone show.
On this night, “Glory Stories,” starred: Tommy Bechtold, Drew Coolidge, Shawn Cowhig, Peter Fluet, Josh Mattingly, Tiffani Ann Mills, Patrick Ian Moore, Neil Ruddy, Stacey Rumaker, and Dustin Sterling.
The guest storytellers for this performance of, “Glory Stories,” were Caleb Bacon and Alex Chance.
The way Alex and Caleb worked their portions of the show was Caleb acting as an interviewer and Alex being the interviewee. Each time he and she would finish one of their portions of the show, the cast would do improv comedy based on their conversation.
Everybody involved in the show on this night did a great job and provided the audience with barrels of laughter!
As an extra added bonus during this performance, Alex’s good friend Presley Hart had made a very long drive to be in the audience during the show. (I meet Presley for the first time at the recent, “Bare Bowling,” event.)
Let’s speak of, “Comic Book Live,” for a moment. There has been a great addition to the show in that Justine Joli has recently been added as a permanent cast member rather than a guest storyteller!
I have suggested many times now that more adult entertainment industry people should go to the iO West Theater and check out, “Glory Stories,” and, “Comic Book Live.” However, I haven’t seen that happening yet. Come on people, it’s a cheap date! The drink prices are reasonable by today’s standards, and the show tickets cost less than what people have to pay to park their cars in Hollywood. Hey, if Presley Hart can make so long a drive to see, “Glory Stories,” even the one time, I don’t see why people that live in the valley can’t make the trip. It is thirty-two miles from my house to the iO West Theater, so if I can make the trip every chance I get, why can’t people who live even closer come out and have some fun?
If we can return to the subject of, “Comic Book Live,” for a moment, the next presentation will take place at 11:30 the evening of Saturday, October 27. That performance will feature the always beautiful and extremely sexy Mika Tan as the special guest star. So come on people, let’s all get out and have some great laughs. As many of my Cajun friends would say, “We will pass a good time cher!” (Tickets for the show will only cost $5 each.)
