Digital Playground contract star Shay Jordan™ had one of the most stereotypical career beginnings imaginable, and yet it’s also completely charming. She answered an advertisement for ”rave” models, and the photographer happened to mention that she could make better money doing nude modeling. Shay thought ”why not?” Shortly thereafter she obtained an agent who brought her up to LA for more nude modeling at which time it was proposed to Jordan that there was even more success to be found in adult films. Again the answer was ”why not?”
Why not indeed. Since then, Shay’s career has shot up like a rocket. Initially doing solo and G/G scenes to build a following (a career move she highly endorses) she moved on to B/G after a few months, signing a contract with Industry heavyweight Digital Playground.
Shay Jordan sees the Industry as getting ”better and better” as it becomes more accessible and accepted by the mainstream public. ”Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge” (www.PiratesXXX.com linked below), in which Jordan co-starred, recently managed to receive an R rating, allowing it vastly wider distribution opportunities. If given the opportunity to change one thing about the Industry, Shay has one of the best possible ideas. ”No STDs. Not better testing, just get rid of all of them.”
In terms of Shay’s future within the entertainment field, she’s contemplating pursuing camera operators’ school. She’d accept if given an opportunity to cross over into mainstream filmmaking, but has no plans to seek it out.
In her off camera life Shay Jordan is an accomplished chef, having graduated from San Diego Culinary Art School and specializing in French and Asian cuisine. Interestingly the class was composed of five 40 year old men and Jordan. One imagines a great deal of burnt hands in the class owing to the level of distraction inherent in being in Ms. Jordan’s company.
She hopes one day to own a restaurant, although it’s unlikely to serve Phillipino food despite her half Phillipino, half-German heritage. Shay cites the two strangest things she’s ever eaten as Phillipino dishes, one including pig’s blood broth served with bits of fat, meat (which had hair still on it) and intestines. The other was dog. Neither receives a good review from Shay Jordan.
In terms of her worst hotel room experience, Jordan immediately recalls her first professional trip to LA to model for Hustler Magazine. Her agent had neither procured accommodations for her and another model, nor would he allow them to stay in his home (said agent no longer represents Ms. Jordan.) Shay and her friend had to acquire inexpensive lodging on Sunset Blvd, ”I don’t think it even had a name” she says, adding that it looked like a hostel, her skin was white and flaking after a shower, the bed and floor filthy. The only ventilation was a high window that was level with the sidewalk, providing a view of lower legs and tire wheels a la Laverne and Shirley. ”It’s the only hotel room I never had sex in” says Shay Jordan.
