Hey Ladies, agents, and talent…
I am sending out this bulletin to warn you about a guy booking fake shoots. Last week I was booked on a job through my agency..a b/b/g scene for a guy who calls himself Gavin Marx. I was told it was an Internet shoot and the location was an upscale hotel in Universal city. I was told the male talent was Donnie Long and Scott Lyons.
When I arrived early, I discovered the room number I was given did not exist. After waiting for the agency to contact Gavin to no avail, I decided to call Scott for correct info.
Scott proceeded to tell me that there was a guy a few months back booking fake shoots with girls at nice hotels and the rooms don’t exist. Apparently, he is consistently using Scott’s name to convince girls it’s legit. When he told me the name was Gavin Marx, I was completely shocked and freaked out. I had been waiting in the lobby for nearly thirty minutes before we knew this wasn’t real.
My major concern is this… if this creep will take the time to go through agencies and book fake shoots… why is he doing this? My guess is that he is getting off on it. I think he sits back in the lobby and watches us get frazzled because things aren’t working out… kinda like a serial killer hanging out at the scene of his crime. Yes its a little dramatic on my part… but I would rather be safe than sorry. Next time he might actually have a room and who knows what could happen.
To summarize it all up, his name is Gavin Marx. He books scenes using Scott Lyon’s name as a reference. The contact number he gives is never a real number where he can be reached. The shoots are always said to be in hotel rooms.
This was a big wake-up call for me. I’m a seasoned veteran and I didn’t use my better judgement. It won’t happen again.
Scott Lyon’s totally saved me from god knows what. I am very thankful.
