CHATSWORTH, CA) — Katrina Animals are Dying and they need your help! Hurricane Rita is on its way! Urgent! Emergency Animal Rescue Volunteers are leaving the Los Angeles area on Friday, September 23, and are headed for the devastated Louisiana disaster area to help with the rescue of stranding and dying animals that were left behind because the pet owners were forced to leave them by Governmental Rescue Orders. These animals desperately need to be rescued by Emergency Volunteers due to government restrictions on evacuees.
The volunteers are working in conjunction with the Milo Foundation to raise as much money as possible for the caravans of Animal Rescue Volunteers that are leaving on Friday to assist with this emergency situation; these animals do not have time. They need additional funding for travel expenses, food, medications and emergency supplies for the animals to survive. They will be working for several weeks with very little rest and need to be properly equipped to deal with the hurricane that has passed in addition to the dangerous Hurricane Rita yet to come.
So many people have lost everything they had in their lives as a result of Katrina; they lost their homes, their possession, their jobs, and some have even lost their families. What about if this was your pet that you couldn’t take with you? Wouldn’t you be grateful to have people that are willing to find your pets for you and bring them back to you safely if you couldn’t? Wouldn’t you want to do everything in your power to find your pets or to know that they are safe and alive? How would you feel worrying every single day that they were slowly and painfully dying of starvation?
All donations made will go directly to the volunteers to help us save the animals. A member of our group will be at our home base in Los Angeles, and will accept donations after our departure and forward them to us but it is vital to have funds immediately and if you can donate now, please do. The pets and the pet owners will greatly appreciate your help.
For more information on making a donation, please contact Clarissa Itkin at (818) 378-4193. She can also be reached by email at AnimalResureSupport@GMail.com or you can contact Dave Gallegos at X-Worx at (818) 998-4016
