(NEW YORK, NY) — Do you have projects? Like to submit your work to the biggest planned festival to hit New York? The Queens County International Film Festival August 19-22, 2004.
The Queens County International Film Festival (QCIFF); was created by film lovers and filmmakers who believe that Queens deserved a cultural event celebrating their diversity. The QCIFF is a 4-day film industry event that will highlight the work of prominent and up & coming filmmakers, directors, writers, producers, and industry affiliates from around the world. The Festival will take place August 19-22, 2004 in Flushing Queens, NY.
Queens is filled with historic sights, botanical garden, celebrities, restaurants, major hotels, skyscrapers, parks and we even have a zoo. We have two major sport stadiums and two major airports. We have the New York Mets baseball and the Us Open tennis tournament. We have the largest park in the city, Flushing Meadow-Corona Park, home to the ’39 and 1964-1965 World’s Fair. As part of the film festival the QCIFF will be celebrating the 40TH Anniversary of the 1964-1965 Worlds Fair, with a huge street fair and concert, movies, lectures and guests. The goal of the QCIFF is to preserve and celebrate the aims and spirit of the 1964/65 World’s Fair.
Featured activities will include an opening / closing receptions, Industry Market, panel discussions, special events just to name a few. The Film Festival will give participants the opportunity to get much needed added exposure to industry affiliates. QCIFF will provide participants with the opportunity to create business and talent collaborations, and many fruitful local and national partnerships for immediate and future film projects; from funding, financing, and creative talent. The Queens County International Film Festival will be a conduit of valuable resources for all participators in the event.
