The Internet has received a bad rap since its rediscovery for promoting porn and making it accessible to just about everyone. A byproduct of sex on the Internet has made it a valuable resource for teens to go and get answers to their questions about sex.
A recent survey has found that just as many teens use the internet to find out medical and technical answers to sex questions as go online to download a file from Napster or find out a sports score.
Experts have agreed that because of its confidentiality the Internet can be a positive resource for inquiring teens. Exact results from the survey showed that 75% of males and females in the 18-24 age group have used the Internet in the past year to find out an answer to a sex question, mostly of a medical variety.
Researchers also mention that like anything else on the Internet, information can be skewed or inaccurate. It appears that surfers are aware of this and said they wouldn’t use the Internet as the sole source of their inquisitions and most have considered the sources carefully.
