As of June 10 there have been pictures of tests altered in Photoshop circulated on anti-porn sites, and publicized on Twitter. These tests, Photoshopped to appear positive for HIV, are being systematically “leaked” to harm individuals that the perpetrator has a personal dispute with.
Considering the source of these counterfeit tests it is easy to see they are bogus, however, the danger to the livelihood of those in Adult Entertainment is as real as those who were blackballed by McCarthyism in the early 1950s. The lesson learned is the motive of the accuser must always be examined first.
When doing paperwork it’s ok to make a copy of someone’s test for your records, but please check the test with the source if there is any doubt of it’s authenticity. Contact information is usually in the header on the test.
In the absence of AIM there will be a period of time before the AIM protocols are followed by the next facilities to take AIM’s place, and be in smooth operation again. Until then we must all be diligent to safeguard the health of out livelihood.
