The latest screencap (linked in the box to the right) of a search of the PNN archives shows that when a matter is brought to the right person’s attention the job gets done. All unauthorized material appears to be removed from the PNN database. A sincere assurance has come from Don Benn of Porno News Network and Steve Siedman of Adult Stars Magazine that things like this will not be happening again.

Don Benn said in a letter to Steve Nelson, Editor here at Adult Industry News, "An extensive review of PNN archives was conducted and numerous [Adult Industry News] articles were removed. If any articles remained it was an oversight and mistake, and not with any malicious intent. At all times, it was, and still is, my honest intent to purge our archives of any and all [AINews-owned] articles."

Benn goes on to say, "Finally, as the new editor of PNN, PNN’s goal and mission remain the same — to provide a venue whereby Adult Industry companies can communicate with each other and with the end user consumer. It is my intent to broaden that mission to include a wide range of additional sources of information and entertainment. PNN shall not do this, however, through the misappropriation of anyone else’s efforts (copyrighted or not). It is my belief that the negative aspects of this entire ugly incident allowed Steve Nelson and I the opportunity to open up a channel of communication that has resulted in the start of a positive and productive professional relationship."

And from a more recent statement, "The PNN archives have been purged of any and all unauthorized [AINews] items. This was accomplished at a substantial cost to the publisher. Credit for the final purge is due in small part to my own management and in large, no, make that, EXTREMELY LARGE part to the continued (and sometimes loud and forceful) efforts of Steve Siedman…"

From the resources available it may appear that Adult Stars Magazine, Porno News Network and PythonVideo.com are different sides of the same company. Even though they have common ownership, evidently that is not the case.

Siedman comments, "ASM and PNN are two separate entities. One is for news, the other people look at for the interviews, articles and reviews. After speaking with you [Nelson] on the phone the other day I think we straightened everything out and this situation will never happen again.

Benn continues stating blame is unproductive, takes responsibility for his publication and is proving to us here at Adult Industry News that he intends it to be a friend to the Industry known for good ethics.

When asked to comment on the above Nelson said "I’m glad this is over. As Don said [above] some good has come of this in that we’ve developed a good relationship between us. If someone is a friend of the Industry I definitely want to work in conjunction with them to create a better Adult Industry environment."
