A brand new downloadable movie service is now available to broadband customers at the Gamelink.com Websites.
The service allows the viewer to download a film in DivX format directly from Gamelink.com to their computer’s hard drive. Game Link launched the service with 100 DivX titles, with new titles being added on a weekly basis. Choices include top studios such as Elegant Angel, Jill Kelly Productions, Sin City and Digital Sin. All titles are DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected.
DivX files are progressively downloaded. Shortly after the download begins the movie can be accessed and viewed while the download finishes. Download time is conversely related to the speed of the computer modem. A DSL or cable modem is recommended when accessing broadband files.
Customers pay a fee of $14.99 to download the movie for a rental period of 30 days. The movie can then be viewed an unlimited amount of times during this period.
