(HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA) — Sportsheets International has brought back its annual “April Showers” for Sex in the Shower display contest by popular demand, challenging retailers around the world to showcase the award-winning product line in the most effective and creative ways.
Sportsheets is teaming with retailers to help add spice, flair and sparkle to their existing displays and help attract new customers to check out bath gels, lotions and other similar body products. They play a significant sales role in any store, and Sportsheets is making it easier than ever for retailers to create a separate product section devoted to this important product category.
“There has never been a better time to create a dynamic Sex in the Shower display unique to your store,” Sportsheets Vice President Julie Stewart said. “Sex in the Shower products are a powerful draw for the lifestyle accessories department of any brick-and-mortar or online store. Besides the bed, the shower is the most popular place in the house where couples go to have sex!”
To enter, email info@sportsheets.com or call (714) 698-0877 and get your Sportsheets Ftp password and read all about the April Showers contest and rules. There, entrants can download essential Point of Sale (Pos) materials, including posters, signage, banners, marketing training tools, and a planogram. Sportsheets’ Ftp server offers even more helpful tools, including high-resolution photos and logos to help create custom signs.
Each store’s display must be in a central location in each entrant’s store, and online stores and distributors must create a separate landing page for the brand. Online entrants must follow specified participation rules, which are outlined in the official rules online or available via email at info@sportsheets.com.
“Fairvilla Megastore’s Sex in the Shower contest entries became shopping destinations,” said Debra Peterson of Florida retail chain Fairvilla, and winner of last year’s Sex in the Shower contest. “These creative displays not only increased the sales of Sex in the Shower products, but also created better traffic flow, interactivity and excitement within our stores.”
“We have already seen displays set up around the country that are just amazing,” Stewart said. “The sales for this product line have simply been outstanding. This contest is going to continue building the Sex in the Shower brand and make it a permanent location in retail stores and on websites. Now is the perfect time to set up a bath and lotion product section, as this contest provides retailers and websites a way to generate interest and incremental sales in this category during a traditionally slow time of year.”
All entries will be judged and prizes awarded by the Retail Display Contest Review Committee comprised of select marketing executives and industry leaders. Brick-and-mortar entries will be judged according to use of signage, number of Sex in the Shower products used, creativity, and how it is showcased in the store.
In the brick-and-mortar category, 1st place winners receive $2,000, 2nd place $1,000, and 3rd place $500. For Internet distributors, 1st place in best landing page receives $1,000 in cash and product ($500 cash / $500 product) and best Sex in the Shower video winner takes home $500 in cash.
All entries must be received no later than May 1. All winners will be notified by June 10 and posted on www.sexintheshower.net. Digital photo entries can be submitted to Joanne@sportsheets.com.
